Should have won the Oscar

This is Scorsese's best film with memorable performances and classic scenes (and shots). The movie speaks for itself, and it has never looked better for home video than on this Blu-ray. The extras are a real treat for fans of the film, as you get insight not only from the filmmakers but also from Henry Hill himself and the FBI agent that apprehended him.

I enjoyed Michael Lewis's book, and I'm surprised at how well they adapted the story for the big screen. The film is a David vs. Goliath story that completely revolutionized the way baseball players are evaluated. Good for sports fans or anyone who likes to think outside the box.

This is a great family movie. Unlike most kid-appropriate movies, this one has plenty of appeal for adults as well.
The only disc extra is a making of featurette, which is very short.

Good found footage film

Good movie, one of the best found footage films I've seen. Very inventive story that offers an original take on the very crowded superhero genre.
The disc has 2 versions of the film, theatrical and extended. There are no other disc extras, which is disappointing.

One of the best films to come out of Hollywood's Golden Age, brought to you by the same man who directed Casablanca. Flynn has never been better; DeHavilland and Rains are always great. This Blu-ray looks amazing on a big screen, the colors are very sharp. The sound is fine, but not great. The disc extras are superb; the commentary by Behlmer is very dry but also very informative. The documentaries (one on technicolor, one on the making of the film, each an hour long) are great (but not high-definition).

On Her Majesty's Secret Service has been called underrated for so long that it's probably now properly rated. The film is at least as good as the lesser Connery films and much better than most of the Moore/Dalton/Brosnan ones. Definitely a top 10 Bond film for me. Lazenby isn't Olivier but he doesn't get in the way of the story. Rigg is good as would be expected.
Picture and sound quality are very good.

Great movie, even for non-POTA fans

This is the rare prequel that can be appreciated even by people who weren't fans of the original series. Great story; the plot moves along quickly without stopping to linger on the amazing special effects.
The disc extras are substantial, especially Wyatt's audio commentary (though may be more technical than some would prefer).

Great story, good disc extras

This movie proves you can make a compelling science fiction story with good special effects without a huge budget. Elysium was flashier, but District 9 has more heart.
A very minor problem I had was that the digital copy is expired, and unlike several other studios, Sony seems to be strict with their expiration dates (Pineapple Express was also expired, while Iron Man 2, a Paramount release, was still redeemable even after the stated expiration date).

Thought-provoking story about a futuristic society based on genetic engineering. Those born naturally are flawed and thus at a disadvantage.
The disc extras are ok; I would have liked to hear a director's commentary.

Ultraviolent film that set the stage for action movies in the decades to come. People have complained about the sound but it sounded fine (not great, but certainly not terrible) on my 5.1 setup.
The disc is chock full of extras, including a feature-length documentary about Peckinpah.
