A lovely movie that scored with audiences and critics alike, Smoke Signals receives a fair DVD release from Miramax. The disc scores on its technical merits, but Miramax oddly chose not to include any extras to an honest crowd-pleaser that is also of historical importance. The first feature film made by a Native American cast and crew, the story behind Smoke Signals is fascinating and should be of interest to both the general public and educational groups. Yet, while the movie deals specifically with modern Native American life, the themes and emotional context of the movie end up striking a chord with all audiences. It can be expensive to produce a DVD documentary but Miramax should've at least had director/producer Chris Eyre record an audio commentary for this disc. The movie itself is good enough to more than justify this disc but don't be surprised when a special edition DVD of Smoke Signals is released.

Young American Indians Face ........

This movie is really enjoyable. Young American Indians cause you to laugh, cry and watch them mature as they face different situations. You journey with them as they adventure thru the beautiful landscape of Arizona. A Walt Disney family movie but not for very young children.
What's great about it: You see the what life is like on a Indian Reservation.
What's not so great: A Walt Disney family movie but not for very young children.

GREAT ACTION IN HIGH DEF BLU RAY

Brilliant color, like looking out your window watching the movie unfold. Just like being there. Close to a 3D like effect with helicopter seeming to be flying right at you. A great SIFY movie about a possible future world. Genetic engineering brings about a mutant race. They are treated and rejected as many races have suffered thru the years, working for rights and fair treatment. Although they have a whole new set of challenges with each new adventure. Each character has a personality that draws you into their live. It is nice to have this set together because these DVDs can be watched again and again in the order they were released. Each movie adds to the last.
What's great about it: Wolverine it makes you feel close to him.
What's not so great: nothing

This big box set contains every episode from the seven-season run of Star Trek: Voyager. Each episode is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Each season comes loaded with extra features, predominantly behind-the-scenes featurettes that cover various aspects of the show's production.

GREAT SERIES THIN PACKAGING

The Voyager series wonderful, an all time classic. No matter how long ago you watched the episodes and what you remember you will enjoy every minute of it. You will see things that you dont recall. You will become apart of their lives and look forward to each new DVD.
If you have never sent any of the series and you enjoy SIFY or futurist programs you will think Voyager is better than any of the other Star Trek series. I love it.
However the plastic cases for the DVDs are very thin. They can be broken easily so be careful. But dont let this stop you from getting the set. The set comes in individual boxes for each season and that I really like. Other Star Trek series comes in one big box and it is hard to know when one season stops and another one starts. Enjoy.
What's great about it: Content and acting, you cry and laugh right with them
What's not so great: the cases
