Creator Steve Franks' comedic entry into the crime-solving genre follows the investigative efforts of fake psychic Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and his childhood pal and sidekick Burton "Gus" Guster (Dul~ Hill). Realizing they can cash in on Shawn's unique skill set, the pair sets up a detective agency and enlists the help of Det. Juliet O'Hara (Maggie Lawson), who takes the pair's unusual antics in stride, though her partner Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) does not, causing no small amount of tension from within the group. However, as Shawn and Gus investigate a series of odd cases, including spelling-bee treachery, murder at a Civil War reenactment, a sorority-house haunting and a case in which the sole witness is a cat, they inevitably produce results, a fact that even Lassiter must begrudgingly admit.

LOVE IT!!! I think Psych is one of the best shows ever. The relationship of the characters and the stories make the show so interesting and it is also soooo funny.
Creator Steve Franks' comedic entry into the crime-solving genre follows the investigative efforts of fake psychic Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and his childhood pal and sidekick Burton "Gus" Guster (Dul~ Hill). Though Shawn has top-notch observational skills and the keen instincts necessary to become a detective, he also has a free-spirited, goofy side that prevents him from pursuing a serious career in police work, much to the chagrin of his father Henry (Corbin Bernsen). A former detective, Henry honed his son's talents at a young age and is constantly frustrated by Shawn's carefree view of adult life. Henry's former colleague Interim Chief Karen Vick (Kirsten Nelson), however, sees Shawn as an asset for solving tough cases, even though she's skeptical of his alleged psychic ability, a lie Shawn manufactured after he gave the police a tip that was so accurate he became a suspect.

Take note other TV series boxset designers, THIS is how a boxset should be designed, it is simply a rectangular box with standard DVD cases inside, no stupid cardboard sleeves that scratch disks. The show itself was wonderful and will be awesome to have again here!
Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) goes undercover on a mission to dismantle a dangerous terrorist network in this release featuring the seventh and final season of the hit USA Network action series {#Burn Notice.

The sixth season of Burn Notice follows Michael Westen as he travels the streets of Miami in pursuit of an enemy from his past: Anson Fullerton. In addition, Michael must free Fiona from prison - even if it means taking on the Mob.

I really liked the first few seasons of Burn Notice. But this one kind of jumped the shark. It felt schizophrenic and like the writers had no idea where they were going.
This release compiles all 18 episodes from the fifth season of Burn Notice, a run of shows that follows a CIA agent falsely suspected of committing a murder and being blackmailed.

I liked this for the prequel quality of one of my favorite actors in the Burn Notice franchise. Excellent for inventive actions and character development. EXCELLENT overall!!!
The fourth season of USA's series Burn Notice follows spy Michael Weston as he attempts to infiltrate organizations full of bad guys with the help of his own motley crew - including a fellow former spy determined to get revenge on the people responsible for blowing his cover.

The fourth season of "Burn Notice" brought Michael Weston #Jeffrey Donovan# one step closer to being brought back "in" to the agency and no longer being burned. The question for Michael is if he truly wants it as it will change everything in subtle and not so subtle ways including his relationship with Fi #Gabrielle Anwar#. Over the course of season four Michael is teamed up with his evil twin and mentor Larry #the marvelous Tim Matheson who also has directed a number of episodes--bit of trivia Tim Matheson also did the voice for the classic 60's cartoon for the title character in "Jonny Quest"#and he also has to partner up with the "enemy--Vaughn #the terrific Robert Wisdom seen previously on "Supernatural"#the head of a private spy agency that burned Michael. In the process Michael burns by accident Jesse Porter #Coby Bell# another spy who is innocent and Michael feels the need to partner up with Jesse to help him to become legit again AND still solve his own problems.
With a tough, sexy new detective (Moon Bloodgood) following his every move, PI Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) must rely more than ever on Sam (Bruce Greenwood) and Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) to help him cover his tracks. As he continues his quest to find out who burned him, Westen is contacted by a mysterious stranger who offers to help in exchange for mercenary work, precipitating a headlong tumble into a bigger web of deceit and murder. This release contains all sixteen episodes of the stylish Miami-set drama's third season, as well as special features on the Burn Notice stunt unit and the 2009 Comic-Con in San Diego.

This is the best show on television. Period. It's funny, it's sexy, it's full of espionage and intrigue, and the characters completely grab your attention. Each episode is action-packed, and I love the narrative by the main character, explaining little bits and pieces of the spycraft. And, of course, the best part of the show has to be Gabrielle Anwar. Is this the most beautiful woman in Hollywood, or what? It is impossible to take your eyes off of her. This is an exceptional series, all the way around. I've been waiting for the first season to be released on disc, and will be one of the first in line to grab a copy. Do yourself a favor and get into this show.

What makes this series great isn't just the excellent writing, but the cast. Sure production values, directing, and F/X are wonderful as well, but it is the cast that truly makes this show work. The chemistry between Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, Bruce Campbell, and Sharon Gless makes it worth watching alone. I have always enjoyed spy type TV series, but this is an interesting approach to it. An agent is retired, given a burn notice, while he is still quite young and capable. Him figuring out why is the main focus. Add in the fact his friends and family are trying to find him work which is mostly of a detective nature and you have a good mix of action and comedy. I highly recommend it, especially if you are a fan of series like Magnum PI. Though "Burn Notice" is a bit more "MacGyver"-ish than Magnum PI, you still see the similarity.
