I have been using it for 3 months and am completely satisfied. Initial installation was easy and flawless - like others I had it up and running in less than 20 minutes. It has been 100% reliable and the voice quality is perfect - no one can tell a difference from our old land line. You get a free trial of their premier service and they even notify you before your trial is up so you have a chance to cancel. (I wish companies would follow their lead.) I have been able to fax from home without an issue and have it plugged into my Time Capsule router without issue.
A couple of caveats to be aware of:
1. There is a $40 fee to port your old number (this is clearly stated on the web site)
2. It also takes 2-3 weeks for the number port to go thorough. Ooma updates you on the process and it was otherwise painless.
What's great about it: Easy to set up, perfect quality, great value
What's not so great: Delay to port number
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looking for a cordless home phone with minimun 3 handsets with speed dialq

Hello,
I am looking for a home phone with cordless handsets (it can have a corded base to allow emergency calls if the power goes away). Need to have speed dial capabilities on the cordless handsets.
Your help is greatly appreiated.
thank you.
We have an AT&T DECT 6 that we've had for a couple years and it works perfectly. Great call quality. Built in programmable phone book.

You didn't say if you required a corded phone, but I believe AT&T make some with a corded base. Otherwise we have an old corded phone (and cell phones) that we use during power outages.
