Great holster with minor issues

I wanted a case with a good belt clip. After reading the reviews, I bought this one. It is very sturdy and strong. I usually put the phone in the holster facing in and the screen will never be damaged that way. The holster clip is not just a piece of molded plastic that will break some day...it is hinged on with a metal spring. It works smoothly and I don't see it breaking. As another reviewer said, some of the button cutouts are a bit sharp, so I sanded them down a bit with a 220 grit, then an 800 grit. Came out great.
The major issue, as others have said is taking the case off the phone.On the one hand you don't want the case to come off accidentally, but getting this one off is not easy. Pushing the little triangle with your finger or coin will not work. I took a little flat head screwdriver, 1/8 inch wide and very carefully pushed it into the gap a bit to the left of the triangle. Separate slightly while pushing down and the parts will disengage. You won't damage the phone as you are pushing into the case latch not the phone. The only slight drawback is there probably will be a slight nick in the case edge where the screwdriver went in. I am very picky and it doesn't really bother me. Hopefully I won't need to do this often.

Tough to beat this dynamo!

I bought this AM/FM radio to use around the house and bicycling. I love it.
PROS: Perfect size and weight
Great sound/reception
Digital clock and presets
Belt Clip
CONS: In my area, weather band not working at all (maybe not available)
Have to turn off radio to see time (minor issue)
Supplied headphones cannot really be used as a wraparound...to use this radio while wearing a bike helmet I had to buy sports headphones. The Yurbud Inspire 200 works best.

I bought 3 different sports headphones to see which would be best with my new AM/FM Walkman while biking. The SONY and the JVC sounded very tinny. The Yurbuds easily had the best sound. They seem to stay in well and are very comfortable. I can still hear ambient sounds with them and that is a nice feature while biking. If I find they are durable, I would up this rating to a 5.

Thought I would try this to get channel 11, which was taken off Cablevision. Set up was a breeze...unfortunately it could not receive a single channel. In addition, raising and lowering the antennas put a black coating on my fingers.
What's great about it: Nothing
What's not so great: Everything
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have owned 3 of these Platinums for previous model phones and always (obviously) like them a lot. The case fits and feel good, not too slippery and not to "sticky". I always like to have a kick stand and the holster has a very heavy duty clip, which I have never broken and it also doubles as a kick stand. The button cut outs are nice and long so you're not squeezing your finger in to hit the buttons. This case does not cover the buttons which I like because I don't want any extra resistance to press them like many cases require. If I had to critique this at all it would be that the ends of the cut outs for the buttons could have been buffed a little as they are a bit sharp but I will fix that easily with a little sand paper.

Thanks for the sandpaper idea! I carefully sanded the sharp side edges with 220, then 800 grit I had laying around. Much better!

This screen protector is the 2nd gen version of this tempered glass by invisibleshield for the S8. The 1st gen was discontinued due to the issues it caused with the S8 and plus models with the screen not working or having to press really hard. This 2nd gen is cut and shaped better and has not resulted in a single negative effect on the phones touch response. All parts of the screen respond as if there is nothing there. This comes with a install frame to mount it correctly. It's near impossible to mess up the install process as long as you follow the guidelines and use the install frame correctly, READ THE GUIDE. Take your time and you'll be fine. It is case friendly so no worries there (using a tech21 tactical). Covers all the screen except the top part where the sensors are so they don't interfere with the retina scanner and the other sensors on the phone. I've used this brand on my S5 and it's saved my phone every time. As a bonus this company gives you a lifetime warranty on the glass as long as you register your purchase on the website. Again the 1st gen (google it, such bad press) version of this was a failure, 2nd gen works like a charm...make sure it's this EXACT MODEL!!. Would recommend 100%. No doubt. It's expensive but not as expensive as a new screen, or cut fingers. Protect your investment. (The film's are not worth it, this is).

I was about to give up on a glass screen protector until I read your review about this newer version. I went to Best Buy and they were clueless about it. They had a shelf slot for the new version, but it was stocked with the older version. It would be easy to buy the wrong one. They checked stock and did not have the newer version yet. I will wait for it.

How in the world do you take the case off the phone? It's pretty difficult and I normally never have an issue with a phone case.

Does it have TV sound?
I was told by Sony customer service that model SRF-M37W also has TV sound but I see no mention of it. Does it have TV sound?
There is no TV sound. I used to have some radios with TV sound and they all stopped working a few years ago when they changed the broadcast formats.
