This is the equivalent of the hoses that are required with a washer purchase. Unfortunately these parts that are supplied with the washer are not metal so I think this additional purchase is vital.

Geek Squad did a great job of installing our dryer

The dryer was a little more complicated to install because of the steam option but it was obviously routine for the Geek Squad. The additional reinforcement to the vent/duct system by the Geek Squad appears to be a wonderful improvement over the usual installation.

I had to buy a new vent kit with my dryer. The Geek Squad installed the kit with my new dryer and added a metallic "tape" to the vent connections. I think it will work and last even longer this way.

This dryer cord is required for successful hook-up of your new appliance. Our delivery personnel will determine whether a 3- or 4-prong cord is needed based on the outlet behind your existing dryer.

The machine is beautiful inside and out

It's a great looking machine and the controls are easy to use. The choices for drying are extensive but necessary for today's fabrics and the machine's options. There are extra energy saving choices for most cycles where the dryer uses less heat for additional time. The lint filter worked well and was easy to access and empty..

The washing choices on the machine fit today's needs and are clearly labeled. The separate settings for bedding/waterproof/activewear/etc. work well. The alternate settings to fine-tune the settings are easy to use. Haven't use the attached scrub-sink in the lid, but I'm glad it'll be there when I need it.

Is this washer energy efficient the main Samsung's website states it is not energy efficient but this website says it is?
Yes, this is an energy efficient washer, but it's more than the usual low water model. It has other settings to choose that use less energy than usual--the manual explains that often you are trading time for energy with these settings though.
