Duckiesgirl's Reviews

It's 1,000 years or more before the age of the Dragonborn, just before the rise of Tiber Septim, the first Emperor of Tamriel, and the world is in a state of turmoil. The Daedric prince, Molag Bal, has stolen your soul and his next move is to destroy Tamriel. Across the mysterious lands of Morrowind, over the sprawling metropolis of Daggerfall and beyond, there rests the fog of battle, and out of the three alliances, only one can become the masters of Tamriel. Only one can seize the throne and gain the spoils of war.Gather friends, guildmates and alliances in the MMORPG world of The Elder Scrolls as it moves online on your PlayStation 4 for the first time ever. Choose your own destiny, your own character, your own allies and, ultimately, your own fate as you try to stop the evil machinations of the Daedric prince, Molag Bal, and the first-ever necromancer, Mannimarco, from bringing about the end of days. A unique combat system enables you to engage in real-time strategic attacks and blocks, while purposefully targeting your opponents. With The Elder Scrolls' Megaserver technology, the entire world of Tamriel is connected, so you will already have the strength and security that comes from being surrounded by your friends and guild mates. Use the game's compass to navigate through areas of interest at your own pace. Weapons and armor are available any time, so play as you like, develop your own style, and explore your way across Tamriel. The world is waiting.

disappointing but great graphics

I hate to write a negative review so quickly but this game is tremendously disappointing. The PS4 version, as was the case with the PS3 version, starts out in an enclosed sort of area and is pretty bland. On PS3 once you get past the opening sequence the game really opens up and catches your attention right away. I found this not the case with the PS4 version. I find it very disappointing that there is so little looting. On the PS3 version essentially every kill you can loot for armor and weapons and more. You can pick plants and loot crates and on and on. With this PS4 version enemies you kill just evaporate and there is no loot. You approach a bookshelf and instead of reading multiple books or finding many different items there is one thing on a bookshelf to activate and you don't know what it is you will find until you activate bookshelf. This may seem like a strange dislike but just about every shelf has something called a lore book or a skill book. Many may think that is a great thing, but it takes away that all right I found a skill book feeling when you are getting them virtually every time.
The menus are very different from prior version and somewhat difficult to navigate when it comes to merchants and cooking and such.
The colors and scenery and graphics are beautiful and there definitely is more fluidity than the prior version. I only played for two hours probably, but encountered no glitching at all. I probably wouldn't have played that long but I so enjoyed the PS3 version I kept thinking this has to get better, this has to get better -- no, it doesn't.
As far as MMO is concerned the only description that comes to mind is a bad version of DCUO. People on horses are whisking past constantly. The biggest difference I noticed from DCUO is any time someone with a mic is near you their audio inundates everything, even if you have no interaction with them. I didn't even have a mic on and the crowd chatter drowned out everything on the screen. It is to the point that you cannot hear the stock game characters at all, but fortunately the text is captioned on the screen so you can read along, but it is so distracting to have all these conversations cluttering up the background.
I may go back to this game at some point. I was anticipating being up all night and playing what I thought would be an amazing followup and I have no interest in visiting the online version of Skyrim any time soon. It was very boring actually. I am not a World of Warcraft player or really many other MMO games so I cannot offer a comparison on those. I actually stopped playing on the PS4 and went up and started a new character in Skyrim on the PS3 and had a much better time. I understand many have a different experience, but this humble "gamer" was tremendously disappointed with this version.

I absolutely hated this game when I first started playing it, so much so I put it on shelf and didn't go back to it for weeks. The map and navigation are very muddled. But so many people on friend's list were playing it and telling me how great it was, all evidence to the contrary I pulled it out and played a little more, and a little more and it does start to grow on you. I still think they could improve the HUD, but the free flow of the game and not having to follow a set story path is a great feature. Plus killing your first dragon is a good feeling. So if you hate it at first keep at it, you will likely grow to like it.
What's great about it: catchy story
What's not so great: slow starting for me

Originally released into theaters during a time before films adapted from Stephen King novels or short stories were garnering Academy Award wins or nominations, Children of the Corn has nevertheless gone on to forge quite a franchise for itself. Though the film was based on a short story, Children has spawned five sequels and a mob of faithful followers over the years, arguably thanks to the original film's shelf life on the video racks and its frequent appearances on late-night cable television. Anchor Bay Entertainment's DVD release of the film is not a disc for the rabid fan, as it fails to include any worthwhile extras other than a 16-page collector's booklet containing a brief essay. But the film's transfer and sound are vast improvements over any previous video offering and should please fans of the film who have only seen it on VHS or on cable. The colors are stable throughout and the image is sharp and crisp. The only problems occur during some interior scenes where the blacks are not as deep and solid as they should be. Whether this is a failing of the disc's compression or the film's low budget is up for debate. Other scenes look perfectly fine and the blacks are indeed solid looking. Overall, an excellent transfer. The Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack is great, as is the two-channel option. The disc is available letterboxed at 1.66:1 and has been enhanced for widescreen TVs. The theatrical trailer is also included.

Campy by today's standards, but a great '80s horror movie. So glad to finally have this on DVD. Pretty basic DVD, but sometimes it is nice to just have a movie on DVD.

Really like this show as a kid, although don't remember it all that well. This movie was very entertaining and the action never stopped. It had a good plot, which many action movies seem to have no plot. Am lookiing forward to the sequel.

War rages between the Axis and Allied powers, and more than mere conventional weapons have come into play. The Nazis' obsession with the occult is well known, but when evidence emerges pointing to the Nazis' possession of a new and mysterious supernatural power, you are sent on a special mission into the heart of the Reich to investigate. The terrible weapon you will discover there may have drastic consequences that will change the course of history forever. In Wolfenstein, the Nazis are in the process of creating a weapon of war-ending mass destruction by harnessing the power of the Black Sun through a dark parallel dimension called The Veil. You'll take on the role of BJ Blazkowicz, a decorated member of the Office of Secret Actions, and must face the strange and ferocious enemies that lurk in the landscape. Team up with resistance fighters and unleash the power of a diverse range of weaponry, including occult-enhanced weapons. Will you be able to put a stop to the Nazis' sinister plot, or will the world fall prey to their dark and perverse ambitions?

There is a PS3 version of Skyrim but it is not online, just solo play. The PS4 version is online. I went back to the PS3 because I did not like the new PS4 version. Actually Skyrim, as well as the new Star Wars and COD games, is the reason we got the PS4 so I was very frustrated with how bad it was.

Thanks Blackie! I actually never even messed with the options settings so I will check that out when I eventually go back to game. I guess I was just so disappointed with the game I never even looked for those fixes-- but my hubby likes it better than I do so won't go to waste and I will tell him about turning that off. Happy gaming!!!

I had a 2gb memory card and I got a new phone it came with a 16gb memory card. Is it possible to switch all my data from the 2gb to the 16gb?

Generally your cell phone provider can do this when they transfer your phonebook contacts and etc to your new phone. They all should have equipment to do this.
