Background, I am a volleyball coach that uses this for stating and for personal use. I have also owned the original IPad and I still use an IPad Mini.
This thing is amazing. I found one day that some of my apps were not operating very smoothly on my original IPad any longer so I gave in to getting a new one. It is definitely worth the upgrade. Beautiful screen and very smooth and quick interface. If you want the best. Get this.

I decided to upgrade from my trusty T2i and found the 7d at a phenomenal price. I love my T2i and still do very much, however the 7d is a great upgrade in every way. Everything about it is just better. I believe that this is the best crop sensor camera out there. I tested a lot of other DSLR because I was curious what was out there and if I wanted to make any switches, now would be the time as I am giving into plan my "next step" lens purchases. I could go into detail after detail, but that's not really needed. This a prosumer camera. From the build quality to the image quality. Everything about it is simply amazing.
What's great about it: Price, Action Photography, Build Quality.... etc
What's not so great: Nothing

Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.

This is a very good lens. I shoot with a Canon 7d and T2i as my back up. I use this lens primarily for street shooting and for portrait work.. I can't use this lens as often wide open as I would like to due to color fringing and other issues associated with wide open shooting, however it is just as good the 1.2L or the 1.8 when stopped down beyond 1.8. Bokeh is a bit hash, but not annoyingly so. The main reason to get this lens is the build quality over the 1.8 or as we lovingly call it "fantastic plastic." I used the 1.8 for years and is what people say it is, A fantastic lens for the price, but when you are ready to have an actual focus ring that is useable, the extra 3/4th stop option and the better build quality, This will work a lot better for your system
What's great about it: Fast Prime, Compact, Good Price
What's not so great: Color Fringing
I would recommend this to a friend!
