Cohens at their best

I would say this is the Cohen Brothers best adapted film to date. Wonderfully shot, great performances by Bridges, Damon and Steinfeld. A must have for any film fan.

Not worthy!

While they tried their best, this is not Marvel Studio's best effort. The movie is a bore compared to the first Thor. The plot drags, the magguffin in the film is not really explained that well and the villain is rather weak compared to Loki and the frost giants from the original film.

Vroom Vroom!

When watching this, you can tell this was a passion project for Tarantino. Kurt Russell and the rest of the cast give great performances in this "high octane thrill ride."

Excellent alternate look at history
on March 2, 2014

Quentin Tarantino is only one of a handful of directors who I can think of that can entertainingly offer an alternate look at history. Brad Pitt and Christoph Waltz give excellent performances as opposing enemies in World War II. A few surprising cameos here and there add to this entertaining film that is a personal favorite of mine.

I like them apples!

While the sequel "Good Will Hunting 2: Hunting Season" as seen in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" is considered superiour, this is still an excellent film. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck rock the house in this film as down on their luck boston locals. Robin Williams gave a great performance as the title character's mentor. Can't afford to miss this.

Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award -winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with a German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award-winner Christolph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles dead or alive. Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the Souths most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago. Django and Schultz's search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of InchCandyland,Inch an infamous plantation. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz rouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candies trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them. If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival.

Tarantino's most extreme

Quentin's previous films are tamed compared to this entry. Much more violent, a lot longer and very dialogue heavy. Great acting by everyone.

Way better than the first solo film. The action is great, the acting is superb and is a fast paced film.

One of Tarantino's best
on February 27, 2014

While it may be too stylized for casual movie fans, this film series is like a film student's dream come true. Definitely unique and has that signature Tarantino style.bolume 2 can be a bit long at times though. Also, getting two films for the price of one? Can't beat that!

Good but not great
on February 26, 2014

While it seemed like the cast and crew were trying, the movie just didn't live up to the standards Sam Raimi set back in 2002. In Raimi's films, you could tell he LOVED Spider-Man and knew the ABCs and XYZs about him. Now, it's like Marc Webb has HEARD of Spider-Man, but doesn't understand him. The 3D isn't bad, but not eye popping.
