Strong, resilient, and portable tripod
on March 6, 2017
Posted by: n2hobbes
This is my first decent tripod and I must say, it made a huge difference on my recent trip. I hiked miles with it attached to my backpack and barely noticed it was there. I was in 0 degree Fahrenheit temperatures, with windchill in the negative. The tripod worked through it all; ice and snow. I hope the MeFOTO holds up for years to come. I visited Best Buy stores and tinkered with various brands, but am confident I made the correct choice. The added benefit of converting to a monopod really makes this product versatile!

Works great with Sony SLT-A57

I purchased this for a recent winter trip. Thanks to this remote, I was able to capture some amazing photos of the Northern Lights. There were a few times during use that I needed to push on the end plugged into the camera to ensure connection. However, this remote worked quite well, considering the conditions of 0 degrees Fahrenheit, with an even lower windchill. As a first remote, I am satisfied.

Awesome DVD!
on August 6, 2008
Posted by: n2hobbes
This is one of my favorite DVD purchases lately. Avatar is a wonderful show and this collection of its final episodes is breathtaking! The show’s writers did an amazing job of tying up all the loose ends and bringing about answers to many mysteries that had occurred throughout the series run. However, they did this very tactfully leaving the possibility of more episodes. This DVD is full of excitement and in the end gives relief to the suspense that regular watchers of this show have been feeling for a long time. If you are a fan of Avatar already or are wondering what it is all about, I highly recommend that you watch all the episodes and purchase this DVD. (Of course, watch this one last so you don’t ruin the story for yourself!)

Awesome DVD Set!

This has been one of my favorite purchases recently. I have just discovered the wonderful world that is InuYasha and I can’t get enough! I’m very glad I decided to buy this box set that includes the soundtracks because the music is just as awesome as the movies! I recommend InuYasha and this movie box set to any anime fan.

They may look cute, but there's nothing nice about the characters in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This fighting frenzy will have you inflicting painful KO's on familiar opponents you thought were your friends. Take your frustrations out on Link, Mario and other characters from throughout the gaming world. Shoot spaceships out of the sky in the Lylat System from the Star Fox games and deal out killer blows in Rumble Falls based on the look and feel of Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat.Hit opponent after opponent to build up your damage meter, then knock your enemies clear off the screen. Rely on weapons that are silly but very effective, such as banana peels, pitfalls, gooey bombs and many more. Hurl old-school crates and barrels or select from Assist Trophies and Poke Balls to strike fear in the hearts of your foes. Combine Standard, Strong and Smash attacks to bash your way to victory. There are so many ways to smash, you'll get lost in the melees for hours on end.

My favorite game!
on March 21, 2008
Posted by: n2hobbes
This game is a must-have for every Wii owner. Nintendo has exceeded my expectations again with their third Smash Bros game! I wasn’t expecting so many cool new characters and an adventure game (the Subspace Emissary) built in! It takes a while to open all the characters; I still have three to go myself! This game is well worth the money as it brings many hours of joy. Playing with your friends never gets old because every battle is different. I recommend this game to everyone. You don’t even have to be an old pro to pick up a controller and have fun!

The Best Naruto Game on PS2
on February 21, 2008
Posted by: n2hobbes
This is one of my favorite games for PS2. There is an unbelievable amount of options to customize your character's skill plate. The missions are fun and the story seems alright. I would recommend also purchasing the game guide, as it helps with the missions and also points hidden items in each area.

SynopsisIt's almost too good to be true ~ all the fighting action of the Naruto television and video game series is now available on the Nintendo Wii. Based on the hit Cartoon Network television show, Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution features Gaara, Sasuke and other newly added characters, each with movements designed to coordinate with the Wii Nunchuk controller and the Wii Remote. Develop, improve and demonstrate your mastery of the ninja arts and see if you are skilled enough to become a fearsome Hokage.Select from one of more than 15 playable characters, such as Naruto, Gaara, Sasuke and more. Then get started on your martial arts adventure by building your fighting skills in awesome mini games that train you in your ancient craft. Specially designed gameplay makes the most of the Wii Nunchuk controller and the Wii Remote for added realism. Once your skills are good enough, show them off in action-packed four-player brawls. The land is filled with multitiered, destructible environments, so don't hold back. Keep improving your technique until you've climbed to the top of the ranks as Hokage.

Great game!
on February 14, 2008

Great game! The most awesome thing is using the Wii remotes! It can take a little time to remember the movement/button combos, but once you get it, each character is very similar. The mini-games are also fun. I recommend this game to everyone, especially Naruto fans.
What's great about it: Fun to play with Wii remote
What's not so great: In Mission mode there is a lot of time spent on dialog, if you choose to read/listen to it.

Which one?!

I was wondering what the best antivirus for a new laptop is. Could you guys help me??
I have tried out many different Antivirus programs in the last few years. It is quite hard to recommend one over the other, as the programs change at least once a year. First off, I would recommend an Internet Security suite to most users, as it covers more security territory than only using an antivirus. However, it all depends on your needs and how much security you want.
Just about every antivirus claims to be faster and lighter on system resources than their competitors. Truthfully, I haven’t found a huge difference in the different programs I have tried: Norton 2008, Panda 2008, ESET Smart Security, and ZoneAlarm, just to name a few.
The exceptions: I do not recommend Trend Micro, as I have seen their software slow computers to a crawl. Also, some of my clients use McAfee, but I do not recommend it either. I have never seen it remove a virus, only keep saying that it found one.
My best advice is to keep asking around, do some research. Personally, I use Norton because I have used their products through the good times and the bad – when they made a decent product, and when it went downhill. I know how to work with Norton and have found that the grass isn’t any greener with other products. If you would like a recommendation, I would suggest Norton Internet Security 2009 as I have tested a trial version and was quite pleased with the results.
Good luck in your pursuit of the best security solution!
