I just played this game for few hours after I finally got it from my BB and man am I amazed. Not without a reason this game is called homecoming. It is going back to the roots with disturbing music, classic horror movies sequences, story telling and monsters (pyramid head is back - sick!!!). Like I said I didn't get that much into the game but so far it is amazing, graphics are a big jump from 4th installment, atmosphere is exactly the same as it was in second (my favorite so far) and basically the whole game gives you a goose bumps from the beginning (the hospital reminds me of prison cells in Hellraiser VI:Hellseeker and a switch between normal/haunted city is straight from the movie (which I think was the best transition ever). This game is made to be played with at least 5.1 system and definitely in the dark to have effect it was intended. Just wait untill that bass kicks in sending waves throughout your house. A must buy for horror fans!
What's great about it: Atmosphere, Music, Graphics, Monsters

Well here comes the best reborn. I honestly do not know how you can write a review of a gam that hasn't even come out yet but oh well.... Like all the new modes and ideas, different finish moves, new weapons and finaly some more story behind. Also music finaly feels like it is movie (what I missed most in first gears story). But honestly as great as Gears is the amount of glitches (you can get out of any map, roadie runs, weapon slides, etc) is unsurpassed.I just hope it won't turn out the same way with GoW2. They promise stars and they forget about the spaceship. By the way we already know about host advantage and that this game will be the most played online for some time so wtf happened to dedicated servers, anyone?? 1 star down for that...
What's great about it: Graphics, new multiplayer modes, harder difficulty
What's not so great: Kids playing 18+ rated game, no dedicated server (again..)
