An important story about the first African-American regiment of the Civil War. Great cast of actors! Densely Washington and Morgan Freeman are superb!

The story centers on prison reform, always a hard ball political issue. Redford picked projects with some political angle that interested him. Yes, with society's hardcore criminal class, it is hard to root for them. But what Brubaker confronts is a system that has become as corrupt as the criminals with graft, influence peddling, and even murder commonplace and covered up.

Oldman is Masterful as Sid Vicious

I think Sid & Nancy might just be the best rock-based biographical film yet. The reason Sid & Nancy rises above the rest can be summed up in one word: talent. Sid & Nancy is the result of a passionate filmmaker getting near-perfect performances from his well-chosen cast, of welding great music and attention-grabbing scenery to a modern tragedy that touches many emotions.

One of Sean Penn's Strangest

This movie is quirky and also one of Sean Penn's most unusual and great acting performances. All are great in this movie. I love off the norm films and this is one of my favorites! I highly recommend it for the acting, the story and all its very funny scenes!

Coen Brothers At Their Best

It's a bit unusual, as you'd expect from the Coen brothers. The Irish mob, led by Albert Finney, is at odds with the Italians, and there's trouble ahead. The script is brilliantly written and unpredictable. And the cast is perfect. I especially love the music score, memorable and haunting. This is a film that stays with you.

Truly a poignant film throughout, a quality which, for some reason, is generally not discussed-- as this movie revolves around an aging hockey player-coach with a dead marriage, the failing marriage of his young best player, that player's overall philosophic unhappiness with life (same for his alcoholic wife), the "we're going nowhere" feelings of basically all the players on the team (if not the league), false hopes of a new beginning for the team in another town under financially viable new owners, and more. This movie is about way more than just the funny (and violent) deeds of the Hanson brothers.

Not Just Another JFK Conspiracy Movie

This film gives a lot of insight into what was happening in Dallas that day and events leading up to the assassination. There is a lot of information presented that helps fill in the gaps from the news reports and everything else that has been produced about that day in Dallas. There is something here for everyone. For the conspiracy buff there is much to question, how could one person acting alone pull this off? If you are a sole assassin believer the film makes it seem very plausible that Oswald acted alone. No matter what your view is, this is a great movie.

Frank Galvin (Paul Newman) is a boozy washed-up attorney with a losing streak a mile long. So when he's handed a lucrative out-of-court settlement, everyone expects him to take the money and run. But Frank is tired of running. In a desperate bid to reclaim his self-respect, he recklessly brings the case to court only to discover that if finding the whole truth is a little like trial and error, then finding real justice is a lot like trial by fire.

One of my favorite all time movies. The writing is wonderful & humane. The acting is superb! It is a people's feel good story of truth, justice, & salvation all rolled into great cinema. Passes the test of time.

What can you say about this collection? If your a honeymooners fan then you've got to have this. If you've never watched the honeymooners but love classic comedy then buy it, you won't be dissapointed. You'll be able to pop in your favorite episode when you want, uncut and in all its glory. Baby it's the greatest!!!!!!

Very funny moive. It provides entertaining satire of American culture. The DVD has few extras, but those it does have are worth the purchase. The footage of Borat on Leno is an instant classic. Those looking for a politically correct film should steer clear....otherwise, everyone else will laugh out loud.
