Arguably Marvel's best film to date. A sequel that really ups the ante for the whole MCU. As far the blu ray goes, the sound and picture are great. However, there's much to be desired in the bonus features department. Possibly the weakest of all the Marvel films when it comes to extras. Very disappointing there's no new One Shot.

Christian Bale was fantastic. I've never liked Amy Adams more. Jennifer Lawrence was great as usual. Louie CK was a revelation. Terrific acting performances all around. but odd pacing left me wanting more. I left the movie feeling like it could've been so much better than it was.

Thankfully, Thor:The Dark World is an improvement from it's predecessor. The acting is better. The story is better. The action is better. The overall look of the movie is better. The scope of Asgard is expanded along with visits to more of the Nine Realms. Tom Hiddleston as Loki is, by far, the best part of the movie. He elevates every scene he's in. The final battle scene spanning across multiple realms is really good too.
Still, having said all this, Thor:The Dark World still falls towards the bottom of the list of Marvel movies, along with Thor and Iron Man 2. For me, the Thor series is simply the filler for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A few cool scenes here and there (especially the mid-credits scene) and a great Loki performance prevent this from being a complete waste of your time.
Bonus- The newest Marvel One Shot "All Hail the King" that's included as a bonus is pretty awesome. You could argue the events of that 15 minute short pushes the MCU further than T;TDW does.
