The best thing about a gas stove connector is that it works exactly as it should, has an automatic shut off safety valve, and is reasonably priced. This one is all of those things.

This here is a water line for your washer. One that won't burst. Pretty straightforward.
Steel braided water lines for your washer are definitely a good idea if you don't like the idea of a rubber one blowing out one day and flooding and damaging your home. I know a guy who knows a guy who works for ServPro, repairing water damage from burst washer connectors is a big chunk of what they do (think mold, disintegrated drywall, tearing out carpets, replacing wood floors...)

What a nice change

Got this one after our 8 year old Kenmore front loader went on to the great laundryroom in the sky to be with Jesus. This thing sure is nice! It's roomy, nice wide door opening, and does a great job washing. Balances the clothes very well and is fantastic at spinning most of the water out of them. There are lots of cycle options and settings that actually make a difference. Love the built in heater that gets the water extra hot (when you want it to), and the steam + a bit of bleach really does do a great job on stains. The sanitation cycle is great too, going to run that every month or so to keep it fresh and hopefully to clean the components that support the drum and keep them from corroding and breaking (like our old washer did.) On top of all of this it even plays a friendly little ditty when the wash is done too. All in all, brings a satisfying feeling to doing laundry. Who would have thought?
