Decent old Cannibal movie here. Some very gross scenes. Good amusing fun if you like older cannibal movies.

Another MGM cult gem gets the DVD treatment with The Garbage Pail Kids Movie, a disturbing slice of '80s cinema that time wished it forgot about. After years of moratorium (some would say for good reason), the shelves can be stacked again with this Mackenzie Astin-starring bomb. The movie itself has been presented with an anamorphic 1.85:1 widescreen picture and Dolby Digital sound, both of which splendidly bring out all the weirdness in the pic. Also included is the original theatrical trailer, featuring not one, but two classic voice-over announcers. Pick this disc up only if you're prepared for what's inside -- don't say you weren't warned.

The 1988 B-horror movie Redneck Zombies comes to DVD from them folks at Troma Team Video. The disc includes the entire 83-minute shot-on-video production. Aspect ratio and audio elements are irrelevant, but if you must know, the film is presented with a full-frame transfer and stereo sound. The special features involve much promotion for Troma, including interviews, trailers, and still galleries.

Not the greatest film out there of course, but still highly amusing. Decent gore. If you are a fan of Troma movies you will not be disappointed. If you don't know of Troma movies or don't like them, you might avoid this title.

Street Trash has topped the special-edition want list of many a horror/cult fan for years. Thankfully, Synapse Films has stepped up to the plate and created an excellent two-disc set that is likely to dazzle the film's fans. First up is a fantastic high-definition transfer of the film; it is letterboxed with anamorphic enhancement and captures the film's look with dazzling clarity and color. In terms of audio, fans are treated to the original Dolby 2.0 mono soundtrack and a new 5.1 stereo remix. Both sound great, but the 5.1 mix really shows off the intricacies of the film's unique sound design. Also included on the first disc are a theatrical trailer and two audio commentary tracks, one by writer/producer Roy Frumkes and the other by director Jim Muro. These tracks compliment each other nicely, with Frumkes giving a broad-based view of the production and how the script evolved while Muro breaks down the film from a technical perspective. The second disc is devoted entirely to extras, the centerpiece being a new, two-hour-plus documentary on Street Trash, entitled "The Meltdown Memoirs." It's an excellent piece that was orchestrated and narrated by Frumkes, and it covers the film's history in exhaustive detail, bringing back many of the cast members and key crew people to offer an array of fascinating, often hilarious anecdotes. Also included on disc two is the original 16 mm student-film version of Street Trash by Muro that inspired the feature and a short promotional trailer used to promote the film. The second disc is capped with an annotated behind-the-scenes image gallery. All in all, this is an impressive, comprehensive special edition that offers the ultimate tribute to Street Trash's bizarre appeal.

Superb solo debut from Rob Zombie. When most artists go off on their own, the music tends too be lost. That does not happen here with Rob Zombie. The music Rocks more!!!
