Great Vacuum for Small Rooms

I live in a small dorm-like room with a roommate. I used to have a Bissell CleanView that lasted for about 7 months before a hole was somehow worn in part of the vacuum. Air started to blow out of the vacuum so the debris on the floor would get pushed around and the suction drastically. I decided to look around for another vacuum. One of my friends recommended this Hoover to me. I bought it on Black Friday and I have used it everyday with great results. First thing I noticed was how lightweight it was. The box says it weighs only 13 lbs. It's such a smooth-operating vacuum. The suction is great and it truly is a pleasure to vacuum now. The only concern I have is the lack of being able to adjust the height of the vacuum. The carpet in my room is low-pile, but I'm not sure how the vacuum would perform on thicker carpet. But for me, this vacuum is one of the better purchases I have made.

Quality speakers at a great price

I needed a pair of speakers for music, movies, and shows for my Macbook. I was thinking about purchasing the Bose 2.1 system, but I really didn't wanna pay $400 just for computer speakers. I decided to take a chance with a less expensive model; the Klipsch 2.1 ProMedia set. I plugged these in to my Macbook and I have a no complaints so far. The satellites put out fantastic sound and the subwoofer will rattle your desk. I enjoy resting my feet and the subwoofer and "feeling" the music. I haven't been able to really crank these yet but so far everything sounds good, from classical to rap to The Office. I love being able to manually adjust the bass through the subwoofer with a knob located on the right speaker. The grills on the satellites are removable. The right speaker contains the volume and bass controls, headphone jack, and a jack for an external source. I honestly can't tell a difference between these and the Bose. Klipsch is a high quality brand (and Bose is, as well) and these speakers live up to the name.
