Addictive puzzler

This is a challenging and fun puzzle game. It takes the match 3 concept and executes it in masterful fashion. In addition to the classic gameplay, there are lots of mini-games and even a poker game.
Bejewled 3 boasts vubrant graphics, ebautiful music, excellent controls and superb gameplay for a puzzle experience you'll want to come back to again and again.
Highly, recommended.

One of the best crossovers yet!

What happens when you mix the best 2D fighting game around with characters from the best 3D fighter around? You get Street Fighter X Tekken!
This is a brilliant cross-over fighting game! Characters from Street Fighter and Tekken duke it out in fast-paced and exciting 2D fighting mayhem. The controls work like Street Fighter and are quick and responsive and you have the option to customize the control layout to suit your preferences. The HD graphics are outstanding, all characters are rendered Super Street Fighter IV style and the animations are smooth and fluid. I love the backgrounds, there's so much great detail in the animations and the rendering of the backgrounds, my favorites are the Jurassic research lab and the Antarctic hovercraft.
Some of the SF moves are altered a bit, but that actually makes some easier to execute. Also, you choose a team of two characters, and you can switch as many times as you like but if one is KO ed, then the round is over, this adds an element of strategy to the gameplay. If you are expecting an exact clone of Street Fighter, think again.
The story is very well thought out and deeper than in most fighting games. The story creates a world where Street Fighter and Tekken mesh very smoothly and involves a rivalry between Shadaloo and the Mishima Zaibatsu and a quest for an object of tremendous power.
Some of the characters sound better in Japanese and others sound better in English. Chun-Li sounds better in Japanese but Nina sounds better in English. The game gives you the option to choose Eglish or Japanese voice for each character.

Finish the fight

This is an excellent game.
In HALO 3, the Covenant have taken over Earth and the Elites have turned against the Prophets. It's up to the Master Cheif to bring an end to the war between Earth and the Covenant and to save Humanity from extinction. The story is well thoguth out and well executed. HALO still has the best developed story of any FPS.
The HD graphics look great. Lots of detail and fluid animation. Gameplay is top notch, the controls work very well and the action is fast and furious. The vehicle controls work very well. The music is also of very high quality.
This is a great game all around, but not as great as it's predecessors, nor is it as great as HALO 4 or HALO: Combat Evolved Anniversary. It's an outstanding game, it's just in a franchise that is of extreme high quality and it's hard not to compare it to the rest of the series. A weak HALO is still far better than most series at their strongest.
I recommedn this game to fans of sci-fi and action, as well as anyone who has an XBOX 360. If you're looking for a solid FPS with lots of action, this is a great game to get. And you can't beat the 'Platinum Hits' price.
What's great about it: Top quality FPS
What's not so great: Not up to the standards of other HALO games

See how it all began

This is one of the best games on the XBOX 360. Brilliant graphics and challenging gameplay bring the UNSC's ill-fated battle to save Reach from destruction to life.
This game follows a party of SPARTANS as they try to defend the planet Reach (an Earth colony# against an alien horde bent on the destruction of the Human race. The action take place on the ground #both on your feet and in vehicles), in the air and even in space. Graphics are outstanding and gameplay is exciting. The animation in the cut scenes is smooth and fluid, worthy of the big screen. The controls are fast and responsive whether your controlling the SPARTAN on the ground or in the pilot seat of a vehicle.
There's an array of cool weapons ranging from pistols, to sniper rifles to heavy weapons. All feel different and have different uses. There's also an asortment of enemies, each with different strengths and weaknesses. You need to stay on your toes the whole game.
One thing HALO has that most FPS games do not is a well-developed story. HALO is a vast universe to explore and this game gives you the starting point of the HALO saga. In my opinion, HALO has one of the nest developed story of any gaming franchise and the best for any FPS.
If you like action or sci-fi, you'll enjoy your HALO experience. If you own an XBOX 360, this is one of THE essential games to own.

Great action movie

This is an outstanding movie! This movie tells the astonishing tale of Thor, one of Marvel's greatest heroes.
It starts off in Asgard, home of the Norse Gods, where it shows Thor as a courageous, yet arrogant and impulsive, warrior. He is then banished to a small town in New Mexico to learn humility. Thor eventually learns what it means to be a true hero.
The visual effects are awesome and truly shine in the HD transfer. The scenes in Asgard are so beautiful you could frame them and hang them in art galleries. I loved the Destroyer, it looks just like something Jack Kirby himself would draw, in fact the entire look of the film is very faithful to what the King of Comics drew. The blending of CGI and live action is seamless, you can't tell where one ends and the other begins. All this in a flawless Blu-Ray transfer. The HD picture looks tremendous and sounds great.
The acting is quite good. Chris Helmsworth does a good job as Thor and Anthony Hopkins is phenominal as Odin. Both turn in fine performances. Stann Lee puts in a cameo as 'Stan the Man'.
The story is very faithful to the Marvel comics version of Norse mythology. This version follows Norse mythology pretty well, but with a few twists courtesy of Stan Lee. J. Michael Strazcynski #creator of Babylon 5# writes a screenplay that does a good job of bringing Stan Lee's creations to the big screen and Kenneth Branaugh does a superb job directing this movie.
Thor leads in very well to the upcoming 'Avengers' movie, and even has an Iron Man reference.
For fantasy, action or Marvel comics fans, this movie comes very highly recommended. A truly exciting High-Def movie.

Beboppin' on Blu-Ray

This Blu-Ray is an essential addition to any anime fan's HD collection. The look and feel of the movie is very much like the TV series of the same name, and anyone who has seen the TV series knows that's a good thing!
In this movie, Spike and his crew of bounty hunters track down a terrorist bent on unleashing a deadly bio-weapon on the Mars colony. There's lots of action in the form of martial arts duels and chase scenes and a great bleand of drama and humor with one of the best cast of characters in any anime series. Excellent writing and directing. Always great viewing.
The animation is excellent and really shines in the Blu-Ray. The HD transfer gives you picture and sound that is a marked improvment over the DVD (which was of very good quality).
The music is cool and jazzy, just like the TV series and makes me wish Bandai would release 'Cowboy Bebop' CD's in the US.
The Japanese cast is superb. Koichi Yamadera is brilliant as Spike and Megumi Hayashibara is awesome as Faye Valentine! I strongly recommend watching this in the Original Japanese, the English dub isn't bad but they are not of the same calibur as the original voice cast. Don't worry about watching the subtitles, watching the anime and reading the subtitles is not half as difficult as you might think it is. In fact after a very short while (and you'd be surprised at just how short a while) you develop a knack for reading the subtitles and watching the anime without missing anything. Trust me, it really isn't much of an effort at all. Watching the subtitles rewards you with the original performance, one tailored to fit the characters and the mood of the film, and not a performance tailored to lip-synching. Bottom line, this movie was made in Japanese.
For one of the coolest anime around, check out Cowboy Bebop the movie.
No we just have to wait for the TV series to be released on Blu-Ray.

X-cellent

This set contains the first three X-Men movies. X-Men and X-2 are both outstanding, but X-Men 3 is a mess and not really worth watching (two out of three ain't bad).
The movies follow the X-Men are a group of Mutants, people born with powers that set them apart from the rest of Humanity, who strive to create a world where Humans and Mutants can co-exist peacefully. They also fight against threats to both Humanity and Mutantkind, as well as against prejudice. There are many examples of true heroism to be found throughout the movies.
In X-Men, the X-Men race to prevent Magneto and his bortherhood of Mutants from committing mass murder. In X-2, we learn a few secrets of Wolverine's past and the X-Men must join with the Brotherhood to stop a Mutant hating militia leader from wiping out the world's Mutant population. X-Men 3 does not really have a cohesive story, but it does involve a 'cure' for Mutantism.
These movies are faithful to the Marvel comics while at the same time do not require that you be familiar with the comics to enjoy the story. Patrick Stewart is brilliant as Professor X, the leader of the X-Men and Ian McCellan is spectacular as Magneto. Hugh Jackman gives a riveting performance as Wolverine, one of my favorite Marvel super-heroes. The visual effects are very good. Not quite Star Wars level, but they look good and add to the excitment of the movies.
The HD transfer on all three movies is exceptional. Everything looks clear and very sharply defined. Certainly worht the upgrade from DVD. The extras give some great insights to just about all aspects of the making of the films. From Pre-production to the final release, there's even some input from Marvel comics writers and artists, including X-Men creator Stan Lee!
This is an exciting set of movies, and the first two are an essential part of any action or Marvel comics fan's Blu-Ray collection.

The name of the movie is 'CAPTAIN AMERICA'!

This is a great movie! This is one of the few comics to screen translations that I would say is worthy of a nomination for Best Picture (Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are also Oscar worthy).
Set in WWII, this movie tells the origin and the first adventures of the most patriotic of all super-heroes, Captain America! We see his beginnings as a brave but sickly man who is transformed into a heroic power-house by top secret science. He then goes off to the European front to stop the evil Red Skull from unlocking a power he planned to use to conquer the world! Captain America blends drama, action and heroism in one brilliantly written and superbly directed movie.
Chris Evans is great as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Hugo weaving turns in an Oscar worthy performance as the Red Skull and Tommy Lee Jones does his usual great job. There's even a cameo by Stan Lee himself!
The visual effects are amazing. A seamless blending of live action and CGI. It's incredible how they were able to make Chris Evans look so small and skinny! The make-up on the Red Skull is some of the best I've ever seen.
This movie is extremely faithful to the Marvel comics. Marvel Studios did a superb job of bringing one of their oldest and most recognizable characters to the big screen in a way that long-time readers of Marvel comics can enjoy. This is truly like a classic Marvel comic come to life. There are references to Iron Man and Thor and the story flows nicely into the upcoming 'Avengers' movie!
For action and drama, Captain America can't be beat.

The Schwartz will be with you...always

If you love Star Wars, then you need to see this movie! Spaceballs is a brilliant of the greatest sci-fi saga in movie history. All of the characters, from Dark Helmet to Yogurt is a brilliantly conceived parody of their respective Star Wars character. The gags all work great (except for one minor one that I don't care for but does not bother me) and make perfect sense in the movie, even when they are talking to the camera. Mel Brooks weaves a tale where gags and situational humor blend together seamlessly. I loved the part where the bad guys were watching Spaceballs on video.
The HD transfer looks great, a marked improvement over the DVD. The extras include documentaries on the making of the movie and a nice tribute to John Candy.
This is an essential Blu-Ray for any sci-fi fan, especially if you are a Star Wars fan!

About an hour into Episode II, the disc freezes a bit and seems to skip. Returned to store for a hassle free exchange. The same problem with the new disc at the exact same spot!!!! Haven't had a chance to view all the other discs but what a disappiontment. Question is do I exchange again or simply ask for a refund???? Anyone else have similar problem?

You might want to try sending the discs to 20th Century Fox for a replacement.
I've had no problems whatsoever with any of the movies. Of course, I've plyed them on my PS3.

Lots of talk with the First Class movie not working with Sony. It would not work with my Sony BDP S350. Which is NOT 3D. I had to disable the internet connection "Do not allow disc to access internet" or some such. Then I had to delete the data file the Xmen movie had already installed when I tried to watch it the first time. This isn't easy either as it normally doesn't display the stored data in the setup menu. I had to do this by inserting an invalid disc. In this case the digital copy. Then I got the menu to delete the First Class data file. What a pain, I'm watching this now and it BETTER be good, lol. If your not up to this then get the DVD. Hope this helps someone.

I have had no problems with watching the Blu-Ray on my PS3 (a Sony player). You may want to update your firmware

As a Star Wars fan I find this a good value for the money. I have a problem with the blu-ray discs, which is in no way a fault of Best Buy. Every single disc seems to enter a pause mode during the movie and then speeds up without audio. I have to stop playing the disc and restart it again. This happens regardless of which blu-ray player I use. Other than that, I would recommend this product.

I've had no problems with any of the Blu-Ray discs. I've been playing them on my PS3.
Your firmware may need to be updated.
