We finally upgraded our 1999 Projection to the Sony 810C. We love it! The picture is awesome, plenty of options to play with to fine tune the picture, and we haven't noticed any lag on movies. Setup was easy and the online navigation is simple. Speakers are about average for a flat screen.

The third installment is my least favorite since they completely changed the format in order to keep things interesting, but I just didn't find it as funny. It's still worth a watch for any fans though.

I know sequels usually get a bad wrap, but I thought this movie was a great follow up to the original. Basically the same model as the first. Funny.

Brightness???
I notice that when the room is dark the TV is dark, but when I turn on a light and direct it towards the tv or open the curtains during the day the TV brightness up, which is what I want. The picture gets very dark when I have not lights on, is there a way to stop the brightness from coming and going like that? Can I keep it at the brightness I like?
I believe you want to go to the Action Menu, then Picture Adjustments, then choose Light Sensor off. This should keep the brightness level consistent.

Can you get the soap opera effect on this model. I cant seem to get it on a recently purchased Vizio D series 55"
Yes, there is an on-screen option to turn it on.
