This mixer works great. I've used it for cookies, cakes, frosting, etc. and have absolutely no complaints. There's plenty of power for what I need! The only disappointment is I wish there would be an additional smaller bowl for frosting. The large bowl works but think a smaller bowl would be better. (I had that with my old mixer.) Suppose I will get used to the larger bowl.

In the photo, the "imperial gray" looks like a dark gray. I received a mixer in that color and it's much closer to a matte silver.
Mine was definitely a dark gray.

Is the Imperial Gray color matte in finish, or glossy like the other colors? It looks like the texture of the mixer could be "rough" vs. smooth.
It has a matte finish and is a little rough textured but not a problem. Like the look.
