Use this Klipsch ProMedia 3-piece speaker system to enjoy brilliant sound when playing games, listening to music or watching videos on your computer.

Fantastic sound... while they lasted

I've been a Klipsch fan ever since a stereo salesman shook the floor playing Stravinsky's Firebird Suite through a pair of Klipschorns some 30 years ago. The quality and clarity of sound at what should have been ear-shattering volume was incredible. No distortion - no pain - just brilliant treble, fantastic midrange, and stunning, thundering bass.
I couldn't afford the horns but I did enjoy a Klipsch subwoofer for years.
When I tried the ProMedia system in a store it sounded terrific. Took one home and loved it so much I bought another one for my TV (and its computer). With these speakers and a computer running iTunes I didn't even need a stereo system. Sound quality was that good.
Unfortunately after less than three years, both ProMedia systems are dead. The right-side channel of the amplifier died on one system, and soon after that the subwoofer on the other stopped producing sound.
I took the two systems to an audio repair shop, and they combined parts from both failed systems to create one working system. I bought a cheaper (non-Klipsch) set to replace the other.
After a couple of months this remaining ProMedia system began to make very loud clicks. Couldn't find a way to stop this. Had to shut the system down and listen to the TV through its tinny little built-ins.
Did some research and found that the kind of failures I experienced are common in ProMedia 2.1 systems - and have been for years.
Got a new set of speakers for Christmas, made by a competing brand which I know from experience is reliable. The ProMedia system is sitting by the door, waiting to go to recycling.
I won't be buying another Klipsch product - and I'm no longer a fan.
What's great about it: Sound
What's not so great: Early death
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
