The most consistent member of Wu.

Off the heels of "Twelve Reasons To Die", Ghostface Killah returns with another strong conceptual record. Regardless of the inner turmoil of Wu-Tang Clan, GFK proves once again why he is the most consistent member of Wu. Dropping a fantastic album, produced mostly by The Revelations (see, Cormega's "Raw Forever"), GFK explores a story of love, betrayal and the streets. With features that include legendary Rap heavyweights such as AZ, Kool G. Rap and Pharoahe Monch, you can't go wrong picking this one up. The liner notes include a mini comic book with some excellent illustrations to help further explain the story. Also, if you're fortunate enough to find the Best Buy Limited Edition version (with 11 bonus instrumental tracks), you'll get more bang for you buck. I recommend this to any GFK or Wu fan.

Fans of the previous Apes installment will love this one. Gone are the innocent, carefree humans roaming the Earth. Now, apes have a larger slice of the pie and demand respect. Great action sequences, amazing CGI. Highly recommend this one.

It could have been worse, could have been better. Aaron McGruder's absence from the final season is very noticeable. I really only bought this set to complete my Boondocks collection. It's a hit or miss season and isn't the greatest way to put a cap on a great show. If you're a Boondocks fan, maybe rent it or see if you can get it for dirt cheap. I bought it on Black Friday for $7.99. No way I was going to pay the full retail price.

Action Film That Set The Tone For The Millennium.

Assassins, government conspiracies, surveillance, Amnesia. All of those elements made The Bourne Identity a classic action film for the post-Y2K crowd. Matt Damon stars as a man who can't seem to remember who he is or what he's supposed to do, yet he has certain instincts and skills that a normal citizen would never possess. Through chance, he meets a German woman played by Franka Potente (Run Lola Run) and together they go on a dangerous journey to uncover what dark secrets are in Bourne's immediate past.
As a sidenote, this movie is double-sided- one side is Blu-Ray and the other is DVD. Which may or may not be a good thing depending on the person. I did like the concept but I normally prefer to have a separate DVD disc, so that I can give those to my relatives. But in my case, it's not a big deal. I just thought I would mention it in case people thought there were 2 separate discs.

Classic childhood movie.

If you're in your late 20's or 30's, then you remember this particular fantasy tale. It has all the right elements- swashbuckling, princesses, pirates, giants, monsters, ensemble cast. Even the format of the story-within-a-story with the grandfather telling his grandson a tale, will bring the kid out in anyone. Cary Elwes leads the cast but you'll also find veterans such Wallace Shawn and Billy Crystal in here. Also, current TV stars such as Robin Wright (House of Cards) and Mandy Patinkin (Homeland) round out the cast. It's a timeless children's movie that recalls a bygone era, before the advent of video games and the internet.

Classic Prohibition era gangster movie based on the legendary TV series. It's a fictionalized portrayal of federal agent Eliot Ness' fight against Al Capone and other gangsters who made money selling alcohol at a time when it was illegal to do so. Kevin Costner works well as the leader, Ness, with tremendous support from Sean Connery and Andy Garcia. Robert Deniro's performance as Al Capone is both hilarious and scary. My only gripe with this particular Blu-Ray release is that the extras are very similar to the DVD version. I was hoping for more bonus features as well as maybe some newer material for this specific Blu-Ray release. Nonetheless, it's still a great movie to own.

Based on the first half or so of the 3rd book, A Storm of Swords, in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. We witness Daenerys become a slave liberator, Tyrion trying to regain power after his father returns to King's Landing, the toll that the war has on Robb and his troops and Jon's infiltration of the wildlings. Similar to the previous seasons, the 3rd season has it's share of blood, lust and all around shocking moments. If Season 1 left you quivering in your seat, wait until Season 3.

Past, present and future intertwined.

This is a truly ambitious film by the Wachowski siblings (The Matrix) and Tom Tykwer (Run Lola Run). It's a multiple story line, multiple genre film that encompasses a few centures. Actors portray various characters as the film showcases the power of reincarnation and the impact that someone's past life could have on his or her present or future life. Despite your own feelings about whether reincarnation is true or not, just watch the film for what it is and keep your religious and spiritual beliefs out of it. My only real critique is that in some cases, the makeup looks ridiculous. For instance, when a White actor is given makeup to appear more Asian in the future timelines. I completely understand why they did it, I just think they could have done a better job makeup wise. Personally, I don't like to see a film in which the makeup is so obvious. Other than that, it's a great film.

Gangster Squad is the unwanted child of The Untouchables and L.A. Confidential. 40's era L.A.? Check. Brutal mob boss? check. Ragtag group of misfit officers? check. The movie tries to take the best elements of both films and churn out it's own version. The problem is both of the previous films are superior and just because you try to copy the formula, doesn't mean you'll get it right. Having said that, if you are capable of ignoring the previous films or have never seen them, then Gangster Squad isn't too bad. If you love gangster movies, then you might want to check it out. Probably works best as a rental.
