I needed to replace an old Logitech 2.1 system where the cord had been damaged. I did a little research and found these Klipsch were in my range. I was intrigued since I know Klipsch makes descent speakers. I tried them in the store and thought they were pretty good, definitely better than my old Logitech setup. And they were cheaper by a bit than the Logitech set I bought over five years ago. Once I got them home and set up they seemed a bit flat, especially on the high end. But once I positioned them off the desk and about ear level they sounded better. Once I messed with the treble and base setting as well as my iTunes equalizer they really came alive. I also think they may have needed to be broken in a little. Once I used them for about ten hours they really improved. The sound stage is well defined and the tone is balanced from low to high frequency. Nothing dominates too much. They are a little too warm, but that mellowness is welcomed at my desk while working or reading. I've also noticed they give older recordings and acoustic recordings a nostalgic feeling that I really like. I highly recommend these and I would at twice the price.
What's great about it: Clean base, well balanced sound
What's not so great: Needs correct placement and some fiddling to get that great sound
