Simple remote to use. Easy to set up with desktop software.Everything is able to be customized to your liking if you take the time to set it up.
Not sure why people are complaining about the battery problems with this model. I bought it at a amazing discounted price before Xmas. Set it up and charged it over night, and as of today Jan 16th, i have yet to charge it again. I use it like a fiend in the weekends and nights too.
My only gripe is occasionally it someone uses is it incorrectly it will get out of sync and the "Activity" button will only turn on one or two of the devices, and one of them off. Have to manually select each item and turn them off, then hit "Activity" again. The remote doesnt know when devices are on or off.
Also, when you re-programme it. Make sure all devices are OFF. Or it will then be out of sync again.

how long does the battery last before replacing?
My harmony 900 Logitech is about 2 1/2 years old and at times it won't turn off the TV or turn it on and then if you wait awhile it does it.
I find its a tough question to answer. So many reviews from angry customers complaining about recharging theirs every couple of days.
Personally with mine, (700) mine has lasted nearly a month! Bought it just before Xmas, and its still on the same charge now (Jan 16tth). And it is used relatively heavily.
From what i gather, once it gives you the low battery warning, it will still last you the rest of the night. Then you just plug it in when you go to sleep. No big deal really!
