I'll put it plain and simple, you'll get mixed reviews for this game. If you're a fan, then you'll like this game. If you're a FANATIC, you probably won't. I am a fan and truly enjoy this game. Fanatics will go on and on about how this version runs 30FPS and the X-Box 360 will run 60FPS, but I don't notice a difference. Fanatics will also complain of a lag between the controller and the game, but again, I either do not notice it or just compensate for it by reacting faster. Anyways, here are the pros and cons, minus some things I will probably forget
Pros: Amazing graphics Better game play i.e. gang tackling, more trick plays Improved recruiting on years past, much harder, but I like the change Saving video and pictures from games Campus Legend Mode lets you start your career in High School playoffs No more classic teams or mascot teams!!! Choose what button you want to control what. If you want R3 to be sprint, you can set it as that. Minigames. Tug-of-War is my favorite thing to do when I don't have time for a full game. Amazingly real scenery in stadium and around it. Connecting online gives your game realistic weather, i.e. if it's raining outside and you PLAY NOW, the stadium will be raining. Don't know too much about this because I don't have ethernet hookup right now. ESPN live updates. see above. Easy to upload rosters via website->flashdrive->ps3 HD compatible Motivation factor helps team if a single person has amazing game.
Cons: Only home and away jersey, no alternates. Sixaxis control. Needs to be turned off before you play, unless you want it. When I was a linebacker, the sixaxis would make me use the Hit-Stick on accident. Minor stuff, such as announcing mistakes "Team XX lines up and looks like they're going for the block" when Team XX is punting. The occasional roster mistake, fixable via roster uploading or fixing yourself. camera angles. Is too close up, especially in campus legend mode. You can't see the DB's or outside WR in normal play. Formation subs are gone. When reordering a depth chart, when you replace someone the bottom list of people automatically go from worst to best, a mild inconvenience, but not if you're sorting an entire roster Lee Corso is still in the game
