Like everyone who is a fan of the series, I, too been waiting so long for this game to come out. What a disappointment. This game makes baby Jesus and baby Elvis cry.
The first part of the game is nothing but movies and tapping X constantly. The characters constantly gasp during movies, which is frequent and annoying. Gameplay is way different. If your lead dies then its game over, can't revive them or swap, other characters are just support. People want to know what the battle system is like. It is one big CF. Its like the old ATB in FFX mixed with a sad watered down gambit system in FFXII. Way watered down. After two hours worth of movies and tapping X alot, you will finally get to level up. I'd like to explain it but like the storyline in the game, it doesn' make sense.
If you like typical RPGs leveling up your character, exploring, and tons of options for character enhancement, this isn't your game. It's very linear and more for showing off graphics. If bright flashing lights and weird noises distract you easily from actual gameplay, this game is for you.
Huge disappointment.
What's great about it: Graphics are incredible
What's not so great: EXTREME linear gameplay, Annoying Characters, More like watching a movie
