Wirelessly surf, email, stream HD video, on-line game, make Internet phone calls. Less interference and better connections using dual band Wireless-N. Better speed and range than other USB Wireless-N adapters. Easy and secure wireless connections. Works with older Wi-Fi as well as new Wireless-N networks.

Too much CPU usage by the driver
on March 22, 2010

I like NETGEAR equipment and will continue to buy their products. I have several switches and APs by NETGEAR,
BUT! This USB WiFi device uses too much computer CPU. I think their driver software needs some improvement.
Buy the Cisco/LinkSys dual band device instead; I did.
What's great about it: Easy to install
What's not so great: The drivers burn way too much CPU
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sounds Great BUT can interfere with WiFi
on December 29, 2009

Let me start by saying it works as advertised. It is easy to setup, install, and sounds great. We have it spanning 50 or so feet to power rear speaks in our kitchen leading to an open plan living room.
What I don't like!!! I spent three days and then purchased a 2.4GHz spectrum analyzer to discover my WiFi interference was due to this speaker system. The trace shows a strong RF signal and when I switch off the transmitter it all goes quiet. Plus the speaker system shifts frequencies randomly, presumably to avoid interference, so don't be fooled into thinking your WiFi is fine after install. I noted two traces, presumably for left and right channels, at WiFi 4.5/12 and then it shifted to 6/14. Good luck :-)
What's great about it: Sound Quality, Easy to Setup, Range
What's not so great: Horrible WiFi Interference around channel 11 and sometimes 6
I would recommend this to a friend!
