Beware of fragile Preamp Input Receptacle

Bought this last week and the preamp cord does not plug into the subwoofer. I reviewed Youtube and the manual before assembly. The plug is very fragile and after a few gentle attempts the plug is now ruined. This type of plug assemble is common and basic so I am bummed. I am now far from the US and looks like I will have to ship it back to the US.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
