COD:Waw is the better pick of the two. People that say COD:4 is better are probably sniping someone right now because they are scared of a little action. I'll admit that the spawning system in Waw is flawed and a sometimes you are spawn killed. DRINK WATER! The only reason that is happening is because someone on the opposing team is pressing the action and kicking your teams butt! It is good to make some friends that regularly play this game and that you can rely on to have your back. That way you are never playing with a bunch of nublets and 10 year olds that are more worried about sniping and shooting nub tubes. You have to learn what perks and weapons work best with what maps. That is why the prestige system is so much better. The more classes you can create, the more options you have to switch to mid-match. But if you are playing by yourself, they have mercenary match options where there are no parties allowed. COD:Waw keeps the pace going in each match. Rewards for kills are also alot better in this game becasue there are few places you can hide from a pack of dogs. Nub snipers never win in this game, if you're team has more than 1 or 2 snipers, get out of there because you are about to get beat!
What's great about it: multiplayer, multiple map packs, zombies
What's not so great: Multiplayer spawning system(spawn kills)

Disturbed keeps putting out album after album that you have to buy because you are never disapointed with their product. It is like they sold their soul to the devil. They are hit and miss when you see them live, but if I toured as much as them, I would be tired as well. Diturbed rules!

Whoa! Who are these guys? I ran across them just by chance. These guys are instantly one my favorites. This album has it all. All That Remains explores all dimensions of metal to give you a musical experience that very few bands can give in just one album. Not Alone presents their basic style. Weak Willed is almost death metal(which I am not the biggest fan of). And Whispers shows you their melodic side. But the song that defines this album and makes it stand atop a mountain of their own is Six. Adrenaline just rushes through me every time I hear it. Can't wait to get their new album. I won't lie though, they set the bar high with this one.
What's great about it: Perfect Blend of everything metal

I struggled to find the right words to describe the newest album of one of my favorite bands. I am torn on whether I really like this album or not. It is almost like they spent too much time in Nashville listening to country music while recording this album. What I mean by that is that there is alot of slow introductions that makes it hard for the songs to grab you. But if you have the patience and you listen to the album all the way through, you will find what you expected out of, in my opinion, the best metal band out there right now. What strikes me about the album is how they are always changing and evolving. You can definitely see how they have changed as a band since their previous albums. Buy it and see for yourself.
What's great about it: Great blend of vocals
What's not so great: pace, nothing really makes it a top tier album

Matthew K. Heafy and his band Trivium are already one of the top metal bands out there. Ascendancy is there breakthrough album and is one that you can just hit play and let the whole record play through. These guys have it all. God himself touched these guys and they became the metal of today. Drowned and Torn Asunder is a masterpiece. Order all thier albums. you will be an instant fan.
What's great about it: These guys are so young and they are already a powerhouse!

One of the leaders of a new wave of metal bands emerging within the past five or six years. These guys are the full package. Keeping a long line of tradition going and taking what they have inherited from they're forefathers and improving upon it. I could not choose between The Crusade and Ascendancy because honestly they are both on my top ten list. Word to the wise, get them both.
What's great about it: The most instrumentally sound band out there.

Sense of Purpose is In Flames defining album. They are able to take a more melodic approach and still retain the butt kicking metal direction that they are known best for. Not many bands can pull this off and still keep their hardline fans. This album has not changed how I feel about one of the best metal bands in the world. If you have not purchased this album, it will be an investment that will stay with you forever. By far the best album of 2008 thus far.
What's great about it: In Flames takes a new but welcomed direction.
