Superlative 2.1 Speaker System For A Desktop...

I've owned these speakers for 8 years when they were priced at $250.00. I purchased them at a local Best Buy to complement an HP Pavilion (which is LONG gone) computer. These speakers have been connected to 3 different computers since their original purchase date. I've never had a single problem with these speakers from day one and they're still going strong. The sound quality is excellent at all levels of the sound spectrum and for all musical genres. Installation is simple and straightforward and took less than 5 minutes. My only real complaint is the location of the switch to shut off the power to the speakers. It's located on the back of the subwoofer and is a hassle if you desire turning off the speakers. I'm a bit disappointed the folks at Klipsch didn't give more thought to the placement of the power switch. It would've been much more convenient and logical to place the switch on one of the speakers instead of the subwoofer. However, that's a minor issue when you consider the superlative quality and clarity of sound with these speakers. Bottom line: buy these speakers and enjoy years of worry-free operation.

An Update To My Original Review...

My original Klipsch Pro Media speakers finally gave up the ghost a few months ago. Not the satellites, but the sub woofer. Needless to say, I immediately went out and purchased another set since Klipsch is the only brand of speaker I'll own...whether it's for my stereo or computer. Bose, JBL, etc. aren't even a remote consideration as I consider Klipsch the finest speakers money can buy. Period. So, my spending $250.00 for nearly 13 years of performance, sound quality, and durability, was, without a single doubt, a no-brainer for me. I recommend anyone wishing to upgrade their computer speakers to invest in a brand that's produced with attention in providing rich sound and years of enjoyment and worry-free operation to look no further than the Klipsch Pro Media 2.1 speaker system.
