Great streaming device with some potential

This is a great value for the money and is very easy to use with a smartphone or tablet. The only drawback is the lack of app support it currently has, but that's supposedly changing before too long. At this price, it's hard to pass it up.
My Best Buy number: 0423555323
What's great about it: Easy to use, great value for price
What's not so great: Limited app compatibility for now
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thrilling account of a great story
on May 5, 2013

After hearing so much about this movie and the controversies surrounding it (especially the torture scenes), I was very anxious to see it. However, Kathryn Bigelow has delivered a taut, thrilling account of a great manhunt that far surpasses her earlier effort, the Oscar winning (but overrated, in my personal opinion) Hurt Locker. Jessica Chastain is great in the leading role, and leads a diverse cast that each shines in their own respective roles. It's great to see Kyle Chandler start to get some more screen time in his movie appearances as well. While everyone knows how the story ends, that doesn't take away from the drama and excitement that comes just from seeing how it got to that point. The assault on the compound is as tense a scene as you will see. The only real negative, and this really has nothing to do with the movie itself, is the lack of special features on the disc. There's only a few short featurettes running around 10 minutes each, and while the information in them isn't worthless, it's just not enough to really satisfy your curiosity about a great film. That aside, this is a great film, and definitely worthy of your collection.
My Best Buy number: 0423555323
What's great about it: Acting, plot moves along, directing
What's not so great: Movie runs a little long, extras are few and pretty much worthless

MacBook Pro features Intel's latest quad core processor, the core i5 processor, for a boost in processor and memory speeds. New next-generation graphics deliver performance levels that are up to 60 percent faster than before. And high-speed Thunderbolt I/O lets you transfer data at rates up to 10 GBps. The MacBook Pro is a great computer that just got even greater.

Great laptop
on May 5, 2013

I've been using this laptop for the past 5 months running both OSX Mountain Lion and Windows 8 (via Parallels). It runs reasonably well while running two advanced operating systems simultaneously, but is prone to occasional lag here and there. Understandable given the strain on resources that must put on it, and it really isn't that bad, but it can be noticeable. Both Mac and Windows apps open and run very well. Battery life is fantastic, as I can probably get close to 7 hours of moderate use off the charger. The display is good, but obviously not of the retina quality. Overall, a great laptop, as is to be expected given the price point and company it came from.

Worthy successor to great movie legacy

As a huge Spider-Man fan, I was skeptical about this movie, but came out very pleased. The best aspect is the representation of the character himself: Andrew Garfield was born to play the role, and I love how the focus is more on Spidey's speed and reflexes, rather than so much his strength. However, the Lizard leaves something to be desired; it's not so much that he's a terrible villain, but he's just kind of "there" to be the villain really, and no more. Other characters get some kind of start to characterization, but then are completely ignored later on. But the positives far outweigh the negatives for this film, and I'm very excited to see where they take the franchise going forward.

What's great about it: Great representation of character, great action scenes
What's not so great: Plot is very much a retread, some characters are very undeveloped

Great little TV, great price

Internet Connectable?No
I've had this set for a while now, and we've been very pleased with it for the entire time we've had it. For only being 720p, the picture looks fantastic, and is actually pretty comparable to my 1080p LG set. Blu-rays look great, and gaming is very smooth with no input lag. The only real con is that the sound is a little lacking, but that's true on most newer sets these days anyway. This is a perfect TV for a bedroom or den, and we couldn't be happier with it.

This is a great remake of the classic PlayStation game. Any Final Fantasy fan should definitely own this. The new cutscenes really give the already engaging story more depth. Definitely a must-buy for any PSP owner.
What's great about it: It's FF Tactics!, new cutscenes with voiceovers
What's not so great: Not much graphical or sound improvement

A great Marvel superhero movie
on November 10, 2008
Posted by: bmstew
from Columbus, OH
For years, Marvel has been trying to launch its B-list comic book heroes into the same movie categories of Spider-Man and the X-Men. They finally succeed with Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic in the lead role, reviving his career and staying likable throughout. Great action scenes and a decent plot further add to the film. Blu-ray extras are also great, with a couple of very long featurettes and some smaller ones as well. If you're a comic book movie fan, this one is a must-own.
What's great about it: Acting all around is great, one of Marvel's B-listers finally gets a good adaptation
What's not so great: Movie ends on a somewhat anticlimatic note

The best entry into the Compilation so far
on November 9, 2008
Posted by: bmstew
from Columbus, OH
Final Fantasy VII is my favorite game ever, so I had very high expectations of this prequel. Not only did it meet them, it became the first (and so far only) game in the FFVII compilation to exceed them. For the first time, the original's game atmosphere is finally recreated with a good story and great characters. Zack has gone from an afterthought in the original to one of the most dynamic characters in the series. You'll see the origins of Cloud, Sephiroth, and Aeris here, before FFVII made them famous in the gaming world. The pseudo-Kingdom Hearts/Chrono Trigger battle system is fun, but the optional missions can get a bit repetitive after a while. But I guess that's why they're optional. Overall, this is the best game on the PSP. If you own Sony's wonderful little portable, then this is one game you should own with it. A must buy.
What's great about it: Great story and characters, graphics are the best the system has to offer
What's not so great: Some missions can be a tad repetitive

A great ending to a legendary triolgy
on November 7, 2008
Posted by: bmstew
from Columbus, OH
As Halo 2 stands as one of my favorite games of all time, I had very high expectations for Halo 3. And it lived up to nearly all of them. The best thing about the game is the online multiplayer, which has taken up way too many hours of my life to count! The campaign is good as well, but it was a little short for my liking. Still, what's there is quality stuff. Overall, if you own an XBox 360, this should be a game you most definitely should own. One of, if not the best, experiences on the system.
What's great about it: Multiplayer is great, campaign gives a satisfying ending to Halo story
What's not so great: Campaign is very short

This is one of the best movies of 2007. All of the actors do a terrific job in all of their roles, and Ridley Scott's direction is great. Definitely one to see if you're a fan of gangster films.
What's great about it: Great acting, great direction
What's not so great: Runs just a bit long
