Great Title:Horrible Music

Geoff Tate, aside from all the TMZ-like drama of the 2012(spitting on band members in public view, scolding an audience "You suck", etc.), I tried to like this release. Geoff Tate was a vocal legend and a part of one of the most underrated bands of the 1980's: Queensryche. That being said, I was not expecting a Queensryche album. In truth, Queensryche hasn't put out a solid release since the mid 1990's, but that's a different story.
Listening to the songs, I don't know where his head is at!? I agree with the review above that he's trying so hard to be something he's not. The lyrics and vocals are truly uninspired. The music, especially the guitar tones, are just HORRIBLE! Sounds like they were recorded with a stock Line 6 POD setting. No beef, no character, no life. The rest of the music just does nothing for me. And some of the song titles / lyrics... I think I've made my point. This second solo effort is basically "Dedicated To Chaos Part II" - the worst Queensryche album of all time.
Like "Dedicated To Chaos", the only positive nod I can give to "Kings & Thieves" is the cover art. But I'm not spending $9.99 for artwork.
What's great about it: Artwork
What's not so great: The music

Good Visuals - Terrible Story
on October 12, 2012

I am a die-hard Alien fan. I understand this film was only to have a "tie-in" with Alien and that's how I went in to see it. However, I have to call B.S. on a couple things.
1. The Space Jockey, as everyone remembers in "Alien", was sitting on a throne in front of a gun with his chest burst open. In this movie, Mr. Scott must have forgotten that because *SPOILER* the Space Jockey had the alien burst out of his chest well outside of his crashed ship. OOPS! Oh, I guess "someone" dragged him back to the ship and propped him back up on the throne, right?
2. The Xenomorph is a derivative of some ugly octopus looking creature surgically removed from some chick's stomach #that was the coolest part, by the way!# and the Space Jockey? REALLY!? It’s a bit hard to swallow that one.
3. The ending, well simply put, S U C K E D!!! Talk about the biggest let-down after sitting thru this movie, hoping and waiting for something of real interest to happen. This is a rental movie when you have nothing else to watch and can forget "Alien" ever took place. Even then, it's not that great of a film. Coming from R. Scott, I certainly expect so much more than this steaming stinker.
What's great about it: Visuals are incredible
What's not so great: The story was HORRIBLE!

On-Line Playing!
on June 14, 2010

I bought this game simply for the on-line play. It never gets dull! There's so many challenges to complete, guns to master, and then you have the Prestige modes.
I play this game every day online. It's a lot of fun and the game play always changes as you play against different people. I bought the wireless headset for chatting, but I found I hardly use it as I'm tired of hearing 10 year old's cursing up a storm or people trash talking others. MUTE is a great feature!
My only complaint about the online portion is the amount of points it takes to update your maps - but the updated maps are great. Learn your maps, and master your guns. The best gun to use is the AUG HBAR and the .50 Cal Sniper rifle. Anyway, master your guns, learn your maps and take out the "campers"... oh, it's so much fun to ruin their killstreaks!
What's great about it: Online, graphics, never gets dull
What's not so great: Online servers freezing and CAMPERS!

Nail every guitar solo with style and skill with the help of this newly redesigned wireless guitar controller for use with Guitar Hero World Tour. The all-new neck slider feature provides an awesome new way to enhance your sound. Tap your fingers to master challenging solos, add real-time guitar effects on long notes and slide your hand up and down the neck to tease out tricky slider note sections. You can even use the neck slider in the Music Studio to create unique and complex rhythms with ease. The controller's redesigned strum and whammy bar offer improved response and grip to provide an even more rocking playing experience. A dedicated Star Power button gives you an alternative means of activating Star Power as well as a way to incorporate a palm mute effect to your guitar sound or switch between drum and percussion kits in the Music Studio. Plus, the removable faceplate offers the opportunity to customize the look of your controller to achieve true rock star style.

Great Axe
on February 17, 2009

I have been playing GH for a while now. I learned on the Les Pauls and they were fine. I got WT last night with the guitar and was up all night! The guitar feels great, is responsive and the frets feel much better. Also, the weight and durability of this axe is far superior to previous guitars.
What's great about it: Comfort compared to all other guitars in previous games. Slider bar is a great addition. Feels more like a real axe.
What's not so great: Nothing yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
