Reasonably Priced Powered Speakers

I was originally going to go with the Bose Companion 2 Series III speakers, but after reading reviews, watching videos, and speaking to an employee who has owned both, I went with these instead. I have been using them with my Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB professional turntable, and they sound great! They are a good alternative to bookshelf speakers if you are low on space, though the amp is a bit bulky.

Where is the power switch. They won't turn off

These will remain powered on as long as you leave them plugged in. I would recommend plugging them into a surge protector so could simply flip the switch on that if you don't want them on constantly.
