I want to start by saying the sound on the beats studio are great. Amazing sound. I do have one problem, though, they are poorly made.
I have pair of Studio (1st gen). I would just use them once or twice a month, and they were great. Now, that I use them constantly, the heat from using them throughout the day has caused the padding to peal and cushion to come off. It is embarrassing that I paid $300 for something that is going to fall apart after 2 years of very minimal use. I took great care of them, but still that didn't work. To make matters worse, the left side makes static noises, and one of the screws fell off out of no where. I need new headphones, but I am very disappointed at the quality of the headphones.
I give it one star because the sound is great, but the quality is HORRIBLE! It baffled me that something this expensive would fall apart, once, you start using them constantly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
