Never going back to ATi!

I was originally hesitant to upgrade my old video card, but now I'm so glad I did! This card destroys my old Radeon 9250. I have no artifacts in gaming and video playback and streaming is flawless. I am running 2 monitors at 1440x900 and 1024x768 resolution with no problems whatsoever. The included software is amazing! I am starting to use 3D Discover to play games and movies in 3D (Glasses are $10 for 10 from the Nvidia store) and the EVGA Precision software makes overclocking very easy. Also included is a YPbPr HDTV adapter as well as a DVI to VGA adapter, both of which I have found to be very useful. Works great with Windows 7 Areo, which was my main reason for upgrading.
My only complaint is the price, but this is on the low end for performance PCI cards. Also, make sure you pay attention to the requirements: 350 Watt Power Supply with 20 Amps on the +12v rail. I currently have a 250 Watt PSU and have had to detune to the lowest settings possible in EVGA Precision in order to circumvent blue screens of death and random restarts. Even with these settings, I can still play games like Age of Empires III and Battlefront II on the highest settings. I can't wait to see what kind of OC performance I can get out of this once my 650 Watt PSU arrives!
What's great about it: Included features, Power, PCI interface
What's not so great: Price
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can you run a EVGA - GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI Graphics Card on a Dell Optiplex GX 260

My PC has an Intel pentium 4 2.4GHz, 2GB of DDR 2700 Ram, and the current video card is an intel 64MB immigrated video card. And also my computer has a PCI slot.
It is running well on my Dimension 2400, which has a 2.4GHz Pentium 4 and 1.5GB of RAM. Check your power supply. It looks to me like you have a 250 Watt PSU, which is barely enough to run this card. I have a 250 Watt PSU, and the card runs, but I had to detune it to keep it from shutting down every few hours. Also, I believe you also have an AGP slot. If you do, it is much more beneficial to get an AGP card. Otherwise, I would recommend the 8400 GS.

want to know what video card upgrade i need to buy

You need to check what expansion slots your computer has. There is PCI, AGP, and PCIe. On the video cards page on the Best Buy website, there is a picture of each to help you identify them. If you only have a PCI slot, I would recommend the EVGA GeForce 8400 GS. It has plenty of power and is only $55. But if you have an AGP or PCIe slot, you can get more powerful cards for lower prices. I have never dealt with AGP or PCIe cards, so I cannot offer a recommendation for either.

Can I run GEFORCE 8400 on my sons Compaq Presario SR1210NX

It really depends on what power supply you run. 350 Watts is required. I am running mine off of 250 Watts, and it works, but my computer will shut down every once in a while. I fixed this by detuning the card with the included software. As long as he has an empty PCI slot, the card WILL run. Your computer is almost exactly the same as my Dell Dimension 2400 and the card is working very well in mine. I would certainly recommend you get this card because it is the best practical PCI card I have found, but just be aware, you MIGHT be looking at an upgraded power supply as well. By the way, if you open up your computer, there is a sticker on your power supply that will tell you how many watts it puts out.

Is there more gamecards in bestbuy then they show on the website.

By gamecards, do you mean video cards? If so, then no. In truth, some of the cards present on their websites are no longer available (I had to ask them to restock my graphics card because they no longer carried it, but it was still on the website).
