Biggest waste of my money

I was so excited to buy this DVD when it came out, I don't go to the movies much, so I buy alot when they come out on DVD. I heard sooo much hype about how scary this movie is, even the girl at Best Buy checking me out at the register, said, that movie is soooo scary. Four other people watched this with me, and they were disappointed as well. Don't waste your time or your money.

KNOCKED UP's Katherine Heigl stars in this romantic comedy about a selfless young woman who is trapped in the role of perennial bridesmaid. Set in New York City, the film opens with Jane (Heigl) racing by cab to appear in two friends' weddings in the same night. She is the maid of honor for both fetes, and she rushes back and forth in time to shimmy to both electric slides. She meets Malcolm (James Marsden), a cynical young man who, unbeknownst to her, writes for a newspaper's wedding column. Malcolm is intrigued by the sheer number of times Jane has played bridesmaid, and he secretly decides to write a story about her. Director Anne Fletcher Star Katherine Heigl, James Marsden, Malin Akerman, Edward Burns, Judy Greer, Melora Hardin Special Features Anamorphic Widescreen - 2.35 Audio Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround - English Dolby Surround - French Subtitles - English, Spanish - Optional Additional Material Clips & Highlights - INSIDE LOOK WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS (Theatrical) Featurette - 1. William Friedkin's seminal horror classic The Exorcist has lost little of its impact over the years, and Warner's 25th Anniversary Edition DVD is a marvelous example of what the format can bring to a classic film. The picture quality is excellent throughout, although the early Iraq-set scenes are now particularly striking, and all the better in glorious widescreen. It is the sound as much as the visuals that makes The Exorcist so terrifying, so it is a relief that the Dolby 5.1 audio track is utterly faultless. The special features, located on the second side of the disc, are thorough, if not always a match for the main feature in terms of quality. There are, for example, not one but eight original theatrical trailers, and while those for The Exorcist are interesting (and in the case of the flash-image one, genuinely scary), the disc would probably be better off without a trailer for the silly sequel, Exorcist II: The Heretic. Also included are some rather bizarre television spots and some sketches and storyboards that are well worth a look. Brief excerpts of discussions between Friedkin and screenwriter William Peter Blatty illustrate the difference in vision between writer and director, notably over the ending (the original, more upbeat version of which is also included). There are commentary tracks by both Friedkin and Blatty, but both are somewhat disappointing. When Friedkin isn't rambling he is simply relaying the action with no background or insight, while Blatty's commentary, though better, has so little correlation to what is happening onscreen that it could hardly be called a commentary at all. By far the best special feature is "The Fear of God: 25 Years of the Exorcist," an outstanding documentary featuring revealing interviews with all the main protagonists. As well as detailing the film's troubled shoot and Friedkin's extreme methods of direction, it also includes missing scenes such as the famous "spider-walk" sequence. This is not quite a perfect DVD, but it is much closer to perfection than most DVDs get.

Overworked Michael Newman just can't catch a break. His boss doesn't want to hear that he has family commitments and his family is upset that he never has time for them. His breaking point The multitude of remote controls in the house are driving him nuts, and Michael ventures out late one evening in search of a universal remote control to simplify his life. His quest leads him to the back room at Bed, Bath & Beyond and Morty, the archetypal mad scientist with wild hair, a bowtie and zany glasses. Michael returns home armed with a top-of-the-line universal remote, but soon realizes that it does more then control the household appliances The new remote actually works on time and people. Director Frank Coraci Starring Adam Sandler, Kate Beckinsale, Christopher Walken Special Features Widescreen , commentary, featurettes and deleted scenes 107 Minutes Year of 2006.

Peter Segal directs Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in the fine romantic comedy 50 First Dates. The film is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.40:1. The image on the disc is faithful to Jack Green's fine cinematography, which lovingly captures Hawaii at its most beautiful. English and French soundtracks are written in Dolby Digital 5.1. English and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a commentary track written by Segal and Barrymore. This is an entertaining track mostly because the two of them are very loquacious and obviously enjoy each other's company. Those who are charmed by Barrymore's public persona will not be disappointed. Deleted scenes with optional commentary, a blooper reel, and a smattering of featurettes round out this solid release of an unexpectedly charming film.
