These were recommended by the Best Buy staff over them cheaper ones, which I believe were made of plastic. As far as I can tell, these hoses work well. With the washer that I have, you can't tell the water temperature..so I just assume that all is well.

I don't know if it was just us or if this vent hose is just a little stubborn to begin with. My husband had a bit of a hard time getting this thing to bend the right way. Eventually he got it and all seems well.

I love this dryer!! It gets clothes dry super fast, even on medium heat. With my old dryer, I would have to put my white clothes thru at least 3 cycles to get them mostly dry...but not with this dryer! I certainly like this part of the set better than the washer. It isn't all that loud. After hearing the washer going for a while, not much seems loud though.

I've enjoyed this new washer. My only 2 things I am not crazy about is first of all the LOUD noise! Oh my goodness. I replaced a set off Craigslist that I got for like $100 and even that washer, as old as it was, was much more quiet than this new one. Unfortunately there is only a sliding door to our utility room so that doesn't really help with the sound at all. Just be prepared to turn your tv up several notches. Also, you have to use a Downy ball for liquid softener. This came sometimes leaves a mess if all the softener doesn't come out during the cycle.
