I ALREADY OWN AN INSIGNIA STAND ALONE TUNER CONNECTED TO MY OLD ONKYO RECEIVER VIA OPTICAL. GREAT SOUND.I ALWAYS LIKED FM RADIO DUE TO THE " SURPRISE FACTOR" DJ'S USE TO PLAY MUSIC. WITH AN I-POD OR MP3 YOU ALWAYS KNOW THE MUSIC AVAILABLE;NOT SO WITH RADIO. THIS LITTLE GADGET EVEN IF DOES NOT HAVE DIGITAL AM( THERE'S NO TOO MANY DIGITAL AM STATIONS ON THE AIR); HAS A GREAT SOUND. THE PROVIDED HEADPHONES ARE ONLY OK TO PRODUCE A GOOD SOUND. HOWEVER; TRY TO USE A BETTER ONES FROM A WELL KNOWN BRAND AND YOU WILL NOTICE THE IMPROVEMENT.THE FACT ONLY HAS 10 PRE-SETS IS A DRAWBACK.THERE IS STILL NON-DIGITAL FM STATIONS ON THE AIR AND YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE A CHOICE AND USE THOSE FEW PRE-SETS WISELY. HD FM IS A GREAT IMPROVEMENT OVER ANALOG FM. THE SOUND IS SHARPER WITH GREAT STEREO SEPARATION AN A TOTAL ABSCENCE OF NOISE. ALL HD FM RADIOS " BLEND" THE SIGNAL TO REGULAR ANALOG FM IF THE SIGNAL IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO TRIGGER THE DIGITAL FM CIRCUIT. THERE IS WHEN YOU WILL NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE!!!. HAVING EVEN THREE FEEDS USING THE SAME FREQUENCY IS GREAT. FOR SOME REASON HD2 ALWAYS SOUND BETTER THAN HD1 AND HD3 IS USED MAINLY FOR TALK RADIO AND SOME AM STATIONS. I RECENTLY READ HD FM WAS ALMOST DEAD... REALLY ??????
What's great about it: DIGITAL FM (HD),VERY SMALL, AWESOME SOUND QUALITY.BUILT-IN RECHARGEABLE LITHIUM-ION BATTERY,COLOR SCREEN
What's not so great: NO DIGITAL AM ( NO BIG DEAL).ONLY 10 PRESETS.HEADPHONES ONLY OK.TRICKY STATION PRE-SETTING .

I GOT THIS ON SALE FOR MUCH LESS THAN CURRENT PRICE. I LOOK FOR A GOOD EYE-CATCHING APPEALING CANISTER VACUUM CLEANER FOR A WHILE. THE HIGH END ONES WERE VERY EXPENSIVE. FINALLY I GOT THIS ONE. I DON'T USE IT DAILY AND ONLY HAVE AREA RUGS. THE FRONT LIGHT BULB HAS BEING REPLACED TWICE. HAD TO ORDERED FROM MANUFACTURER. THE SUCTION POWER EVEN AT MAX IS ONLY OK ( COMPARED WITH THE HIGH-END VACUUMS).THE HEPA FILTER IS NOT 100 % SEALED. SOME DUST ESCAPE BACK TO THE ROOM. IT'S A GOOD VALUE AND ACCEPTABLE QUALITY. THAT'S ALL.
What's great about it: GOOD LOOKING VACUUM
What's not so great: MARGINAL SUCTION POWER; LIGHT BULB GOES OUT FREQUENTLY

Nice TV may be one of the Best
ByMoesephfromnashua
Really nice TV, this may set new levels for picture quality like 720, 1080, did when they first came out. The colors are amazing add to that the detail and you feel like it's not a picture but the real thing. We got the set on May 16th, maybe one of the first around here, the 5K is hard to swallow at first but in truth we've paid more for Flat Panels when they first came out with no where near the Picture Quality, someone has to start the ball rolling, lol. It's important to note that this TV is NOT Samsung Thin, matter fact almost harkens back to them older Plasma's we had, maybe not as thick but don't think your buying into a hanging art piece that hugs the wall. We got the Slim tilt one touch from Sanus it's a nice wall mount for this TV and to adjust it you just gently push or pull on the TV. For those who want slim you could do a in wall setup. Setup of the TV is simple and instructive, but be fore warned you need to do a SYSTEM UPDATE otherwise you may find the TV turning on/off, the remotes not working etc. We spent a hour with Sony Tech Support after hours trying to reset the TV so we could go back through the setup and download the update, after awhile we finally go the TV to reset and update, THANKS to Sony for having Tech Support available on a weekday night after 9PM and low and behold a English Speaking rep, wow, Kudos to Sony. As for another Kudos for Sony how about them fancy side mounted Speakers and the amazing thing they sound pretty decent, no need for a sound bar for this TV, if you want casual TV time no Surround Sound this TV has more than acceptable Sound to watch general TV without running the AV Gear. All in the All, yes it's expensive, but the newest and greatest tech always is, and being the Tech Nerd I am, the latest and greatest always gets my attention, Sony will Sell a lot of these TV's and were not in the least unhappy we bought it.

I CAN JUSTIFY THE TRANSITION OF BLACK AND WHITE TV TO COLOR. I CAN JUSTIFY THE ANALOG TO DIGITAL TV CONVERSION WORLDWIDE. THIS TV NO MATTER HOW BEAUTIFUL THE PICTURE IS WITH THE ZILLION PIXELS IS NOT JUSTIFIABLE. HUMAN EYES CAN'T DETAIL ANYTHING BEYOND THE ACTUAL STANDARD OF 1080 LINES, NOT TO MENTION THERE IS NO MEDIA OR BROADCASTS IN SUCH A "SUPER HIGH" DEFINITION AND PROBABLY WILL NEVER BE BECAUSE IS NOT NECESSARY. JUST WHEN HD DIGITAL TELEVISION IS FINALLY CATCHING WORDWIDE, SONY COME WITH THIS SILLY IDEA. I STILL REMEMBER OTHER SONY "CREATIONS" LIKE SACD SOUND,MICRO DIGITAL VIDEO TAPE, DAT DIGITAL TAPE ETC, ETC,ETC; THEY DIED VERY SOON.....
Can an HDTV be calibrated when the A/V receiver is not working?
It's time to get my Samsung plasma calibtrated, but my Denon receiver is not working. Is the calibration accomplished strictly through the TV, or does the receiver matter? Thanks
I HATE THE IDEA OF USING A RECEIVER AS A HUB FOR ALL THE VIDEO CONNECTIONS. ALWAYS CONNECT ALL THE VIDEO SOURCES DIRECTLY TO THE TV WITHOUT USING THE RECEIVER. THERE ALWAYS WILL BE SOME PICTURE QUALITY PROBLEMS. USE A GOOD CALIBRATION DVD WITH A GOOD DVD PLAYER CONNECTED TO THE TV WITH HDMI O COMPONENT CABLE.
Can not get the channel up and channel down to work on the remote for Sharp 46" LED TV . Error message "No input selection available" comes up on the screen.
