Rock Band looks to be a killer hit for 360 and PS3 owners. Parties will never be the same when u and your friends start jamming out to famous hits from many eras of music. I would highly recomend buying it, or investing to get the full package: $200 for everything (be sure you have friends first)
I would recommend this to a friend!

There was a magical time in music known as the 1980s. It was an era when big hair, tight clothes, new attitudes and killer tracks set the world on fire. Now you have the chance to revisit these legendary days and become an 80's rock superstar just like the greats of the past. Your spandex is tight, your hair is sprayed right ~ rip off killer licks and jam with all of your might.Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s is loaded with amazing songs from the 1980s that appeal to head-bangers, new-wave rockers and anyone else who loves those wild tunes. Play as your favorite Guitar Hero characters and dress them in outrageous outfits of the past. The co-op multiplayer capabilities allow two players to jam together, with one person on lead and the other on rhythm guitar. If you need to master a particular song or phrase, turn to the Practice mode and even slow down a difficult section until you learn it perfectly. Are you really an 80's bad boy ~ or bad girl ~ at heart? Then it's time to hit the stage and take your place in the pantheon of rock legends.

Guitar Hero 2 Expansion
on August 16, 2007

This product is more of an expansion to Guitar Hero 2 rather than a whole new game. The characters are pretty much the original characters featured on Guitar Hero 1, but with a colorful 80's theme. There are no bonus songs, which really were great in the previous 2 games. Plus, there are way fewer songs in the game, some of them just one hit wonder bands. It would've been nice to see some artists like Metallica, Led Zeppelin, even Hendrix would've been nice.
On a more positive note, the gameplay is still fun, including the multiplayer. The single player career is a bit less challenging, but still fun to play songs from a older era of music. This is a great purchase for your PS2 if you need something to interest you until Guitar Hero 3 comes out for the PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360.
I would recommend this to a friend!
