Bright Floodlight Camera! Great Video Quality!

I have been using wired camera systems for outdoor for past 5 years and looking for adding flood lights with camera. I got Eufy - Security Floodlight Camera. Setup is easy. It came with prewired with a plug for initial setup. I have downloaded Eufy security app from App Store and configured the floodlight in less than 5 mins including the latest firmware. I have removed the existing flood light from the backyard and installed Eufy floodlight in 15 mins. It is very bright flood light equipped with a 1080P resolution Wi-Fi camera and two 2500-lumen LED bulbs for day and night viewing. It has built-in microphone and speaker allow to talk back through the phone.
Build quality is solid and lights can be controlled separate from camera from app. It records in color in daytime as well as night. Lights are dimmable and great color contrast with sharpness.
The nice feature is no monthly fee required for recording. It comes with built-in 4GB local storage which can store 14 days of recordings. The Built-in 100dB siren creates a loud alarm as harsh warning to scare off any unwanted visitors. 140° field of view captures a wide area of your property for high-level security all the time. It works with Alexa or Google Assistant and activity can be monitored by voice commands. It is easy to configure notifications and set trigger to record when motion is detected.
The only negative is no option to configure motion detection with humans only. As all the recordings done in memory card and no upload to cloud, Eufy Security Floodlight Camera will be a perfect device for users looking for security devices to record locally. I will be buying few more flood lights to complete my home security.

Quality Suitcase with lot of features!

Nomatic - 29" Expandable Spinning Suitcase is best looking suitcase. It made of durable, hard-sided, Makrolon polycarbonate case with full-perimeter expansion designed for 5-10 days of travel. It just over 12 pounds weight. It has lot of space inside and luggage compartment helps to ease packing with thoughtful design, namely compression, by optimizing space. Internal side pockets help to organize cords, accessories, and other pieces. We used this suitcase for 10 days Orlando trip and able to arranged all clothes. It was very easy to move around in the airport and wheels are really smooth. The built quality is really good for this suitcase. This suitcase has the added feature of TSA-friendly locks to help secure those high-quality YKK zippers. The straps inside the suitcase are sturdy. It comes with limited lifetime warranty.
I was bit disappointed the look of this suitcase after the trip from Orlando. There were lot of scratches on the suitcase and dust is visible on the suitcase. It looks really different after one trip due to black color of the suite case. It is very expensive suitcase and expected to long last.

Great Sound Quality with limited features!

I have been using home theater systems for more than 10 years now with A/V receiver and high-quality floor standing speakers with surround speakers. I have never used amplifiers on my home theater setup until now. I got Arcam - HDA 500W 2.0-Ch. Integrated Amplifier (model SA20) to see if there is any difference in sound quality. It came with Arcam HDA 500W 2.0-Ch. Integrated Amplifier, Remote with batteries, Mains lead and Owner's manual.
Build quality is very solid and it is not heavy compared to my receiver. I have installed the batteries on the remote and connected my definitive front floor standing speakers to the Arcam HDA20. I have connected my apple phone using RCA cable to test the sound quality from Spotify. I was amazed by the sound quality delivered from Arcam. The songs were crystal clear and able to hear all the details on the song which I never heard before from A/V receiver mode. I was able to listen to the songs very clearly in low volume as high volume.
The remote quality is good and the most portion of the remote buttons for Arcam CD player and the bottom portion is for the Arcam amplifier. The device can be powered on / off by remote. There are limited options in the remote to mute the sound from remote, the volume can be increased/decreased and changing the ports.
Since I am using a 7.1.2 speaker system with my pioneer receiver connected with various devices like Apple TV, Xbox One and ARC enabled Samsung TV, I have configured my front speakers connected to Arcam and connected Arcam pre-out to my receiver front pre-out using RCA cable. I am disappointed that there is no sound coming from speakers after connecting with the receiver using pre-out mode. The manual did not provide any detail information about connecting with receivers.
I have been trying to get sound from the front speakers with receiver and Arcam combo and there is no luck. If I play from the phone directly connected to Arcam, it is playing without any issues. If I am playing from Apple TV via the receiver, there is no sound coming from front speakers with pre-out front speakers connection. If I change the port in Arcam remote, the sound is coming for a few seconds from the speakers and stopped immediately. It should be straightforward setup with pre-out mode from the receiver and somehow it is not working.
I could not use my front speakers with the receiver and the Arcam amplifier. I am sure that there might be some issues with firmware or got a faulty unit. With limited documentation in the manual, it is very difficult to figure out the issues with the pre-out setting. Since front speakers are not giving any sound with the receiver and amplifier setup, I was not able to enjoy my 7.1.2 sound setup and connected my front speakers back to the receiver for now.
I have spent more than 10 hours to try all possible combination to get sound from front speakers. I tried to call Arcam support and they are available only from Monday to Friday 9 to 5 EST. I will call again on Monday to explain the issue to their support to get a resolution. Even though the sound quality is outstanding while connected directly from Arcam with 2.0 channels, there are 7 channel amplifiers available in the market for this price range.

CORSAIR - Gaming K95 RGB PLATINUM XT Wired Mechanical CHERRY MX Speed RGB Silver Switch Keyboard with RGB Back Lighting is an outstanding gaming keyboard. I was impressed with the look and feel of this keyboard. The build quality is rock solid.
I was able to set up the keyboard in less than 10 mins. I have downloaded and installed Elgato stream deck and Corsair Icue software packages from the website to utilize the full features of this amazing keyboard. The keys feel strong and very convenient to type as well. The lighting is very beautiful and it is one of the best lightings I have seen so far in a keyboard. The changing colors of the lights are very smooth. It is possible to program the lights.
It is a wired keyboard with two USBs and a 3.5 mm audio jack to connect with your computer. I have Dell Alienware R7 gaming PC and have a lot of USB ports. I really liked the soft textured cushioned leatherette palm rest. It will attach to the keyboard with magnetic. I was able to use the keyboard for gaming and other documents typing. I did not feel any wrist pain due to soft textured cushioned leatherette palm rest.
100% anti-ghosting with full N-key rollover switches offer rapid response times for quick in-game action and dual sidewalls to add greater stability and increased protection against dust and liquids. This keyboard has 8MB onboard memory which will be easily configured profiles and using it another PC. The Avermedia Live Streamer Duo is a perfect entry-level streaming kit. It came with AVerMedia Live Streamer CAM 313 (PW313) webcam, AVerMedia Live Gamer MINI (GC311), USB cable and Owner's manual. The resolution of the camera is 1080p. Setup is quick and easy. Build quality is great. The camera can be placed on top of the monitor and mount fits perfectly on the monitor. The camera has a privacy slider which is a very important feature for me.
Avermedia RECentral software has all the features to control the camera. Using the software, I was able to do overlays and effects. The camera and mic quality are outstanding. The capture card has 2 HDMI and 1 micro USB ports. I have connected USB to the computer, HDMI output was connected to TV and HDMI input connected to the console. It does support H.264 encoding and capturing 1080p at 60fps.
Avermedia Live Streamer Duo webcam is an excellent solution for live streaming.

I have been using Phillips Hue products for more than 3 years now. I am really impressed with the line of hue products offered by Philips. I have been waiting for a sync box from Philips to integrate with my TV for all the hue lights configured in my living room ceiling lights and behind the TV with Philips Hue Play.
The wait is over now. I have purchased the Philips Hue Sync Box to fulfill my needs. It came with Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box, HDMI cable, Power adapter, and cable. Setup is a bit tricky on my home theater setup. I have various devices like Apple TV, XBOX connected with one of the receiver outputs on my 82” Inch Samsung TV and another receiver out is connected with Epson projector.
I have connected one of the receiver inputs to HDMI 1 in Sync box and connected Sync Box output to my receiver. I have installed the Hue Sync app on my phone and completed the setup. There was a firmware update available and it took 15 mins to complete the firmware update. After the update, I was able to configure the entertainment area and selected my ceiling hue color lights as well as Hue play lights installed behind the TV. Please note that the Philips Hue bridge is required to configure the Hue Sync box.
I played a movie from Disney Plus and all lights started changing colors based on movie play. It was a super feeling especially the action scenes. There are three configurations in the Hue Sync app to support movies, music, and game. I have used all 3 options with Disney Plus, Spotify and Xbox One X and everything working great. We watched a movie with friends they were really impressed with the setup.

There are many options available in Hue Sync like configuring entertainment area, brightness of lights, etc. We are using this setup every week while watching movies and highly recommend this if you have the home of Philips hue products.

Outstanding product with cool features!

I have been waiting for a device that allows video calls either for WhatsApp or Facebook messenger on TV. Facebook Portal TV addresses my needs. In the box, it came with 1 Portal TV, 1 Power Card, 1 Remote + Batteries. There is no HDMI provided in the box. Setup is pretty straightforward. I have plugged in Portal TV in HDM Aux Input of my receiver which is connected to my 82Inch TV and connected the power cable on the back of the device. I have placed the portal TV in front of the TV for testing purchase. It can be placed on top of the TV panel. There was a firmware update available for the device and it took close to 25 mins to complete the update.
The remote is very compact and easy to use. I have added my Facebook and WhatsApp accounts during the setup process and it showed all my contacts. WhatsApp setup is similar to PC setup by scanning the bar code on the phone WhatsApp. To use WhatsApp, the phone must be ON state. To use Portal TV, just call “Hey Portal” and it will listen for your further commands. I have marked frequent callers as Favorites which is a nice feature. Favorites contacts will appear on the main screen and it will allow making a quick call rather than going through the contact list.
It is easy to make a call either by voice or video. To start a call, select the contact or you can say “Hey Portal, call [contact]”. It will make the call for you. Please note that the portal does not allow calls between messenger and WhatsApp account. Please make sure that the phone is connected with the internet to initiate and receive WhatsApp calls on Portal.
I am surprised by smart camera features in Portal TV. It is an AI-powered smart camera that automatically adjusts and zooms to keep everyone in the frame. We made several calls to friends and family members and they were able to see everyone on the frame. Spotlight is another nice feature when you are talking to multiple people and want to focus on one person. Just focus on a specific person and a green square outline and notification on the bottom right corner saying “Spotlight-On”.
There are a lot of nice features for Shared calls. AR Effects can be used while on a call via photo booth. There are effects to change your voice as well. Story Time is another cool feature and we were able to test it out my friend who has a portal TV. Watch together lets you watch shows on Facebook while on a call with friends and family. Both should have Portal TV to use Watch together feature.
There are very limited apps available in Portal TV which include Showtime, CBS, Starz, Sling TV, etc.. More apps may be added via future firmware updates. Superframe feature will allow displaying the photos and videos when you are not on a call. Photos can be added from Facebook or directly from the phone. Portal TV can be used as a home speaker to play music from Spotify, Pandora, etc.
Regarding privacy and security settings, you can hide the camera by sliding the switch and the microphone can be turned off as well. Portal TV is a great product with a lot of cool features.

Excellent Gaming headset!

CORSAIR - VIRTUOSO RGB Wireless Stereo Gaming Headset design is solid for durability and comfort to wear for a long period of time. I have been using various types of headsets for gaming and listening to music. CORSAIR - VIRTUOSO is perfectly balanced to fit and very lightweight as well. I have not faced any discomfort using this headset for a long period of time. Volume control buttons, 3.5mm jack, and USB C port are available on the sides of headset. It is nice to see that USB C port is provided to charge the headset.
The audio quality is outstanding with CORSAIR - VIRTUOS. I have been using this headset for many hours each day and there are no connectivity issues as well. Battery life is really good and came close to 20 hours. CORSAIR - VIRTUOSO is one of the best headsets for Gaming. I have been using this headset even for my office skype calls and it is working perfectly. The range is really good and I can walk around during the calls and there are absolutely no issues with signal. I am surprised that there is no Bluetooth option and USB receiver should be used for wireless capability. There is a toggle to switch between wired and wireless connection on the headphone. The microphone is detachable which is a very nice feature. ICUE app is great and provides the option to customize the colors and there are other settings configured as well.
I highly recommend this headset to everyone due to design, audio quality and long battery life.

I bought this router to replace my perfectly working Asus RT-66R model. I wanted to change my router just to get bit more range in my new 2200sqft home. Prior to getting this router I have tried one of the best range extender Ampedwireless AE-20. It’s range was excellent, but connection was very much degraded and struggled to get connected at times though it was set up to clone settings from original router.
So, after reading few positive reviews on BBY and mixed reviews on amazon, I decided to give new Nighthawk R8000 a try. I am happy with its slightly improved range than Asus and very much disappointed with its 2.4Ghz performance. I have more than 15 years of network experience and I really don’t bother tech support unless until it is really out of my hand and hardware specific.
Here I am trying to do a fair comparison with two routers I have (Asus & Netgear) + sign means “better” and – signs means “poor”

At this point I called customer service and it sounded like they kind of aware of the issue. With minimal trouble shooting and changing the channels to their recommended channels (01, 06, 09 & 11), there was no improvement. So they asked me to degrade from 600Mpbs to 289Mbps and it started working.
So technically now their claim of 3200Mbps became 2911Mbps.
Access Control:
+ RT-66R has fairly good access control capabilities. You can schedule what time of the day each device can access the internet. This feature is important for me as I found it is very useful with kids on top of parental control settings.

- R8000 access control only let you allow or deny connecting a particular device. You cannot decide what time it should be able to connect. – Major drawback for me.
Parental Control:
- RT-66R has poor parental control settings, but with an option to point DNS to OpenDNS we can achieve better parental control settings with their FREE offerings.
+R8000 – also use OpenDNS but with dedicated service assigned to netgear so that you can add bypass account also which can’t be done with OpenDNS free account. This is the only additional benefit I found with this router so far compared to RT-66R.
VPN:
+ RT-66R is also able to use OpenVPN with mobile access with their free App. I was abe to access local network using iOS and Android devices with no issues.

+R8000 – very useful feature if you have your router in bedroom or other place you don’t like lot of flashing lights. Can be accessed via web GUI and with a dedicated hard button at the rear of the router.
USB Storage and Cloud access:
+RT-66R allow you to create a personal cloud with your router with AiCloud application. I am able to enjoy my music and movies over AiCloud on the move.

- R8000 – could not find any documentation about cloud access. Only information I found is about ReadyCloud and it is dedicated to Netgear NAS only. Another major setback for an expensive router.
Web GUI:
Though Netgear has a simple interface and easy to follow GUI, it lack modern look and feeling. I like Asus GUI better.

Customer service:
+ Asus- Never had to call them. No subscription fee, 24/7 free support (as far as you are within product warranty).

- Netgear – Though I received prompt customer service when I called, it was shocking to learn that the phone support is only available for 90 days of purchase, then you have to pay PREMIUM subscription to get phone support.
CONCLUSION:
I have thoroughly tested all important feature that I need. Rest of the features are generic to me and I am not bothered much about them.
I am sure this router with Dual 5.0Ghz network will be very useful for those who have new wireless devices. For me I have a lot of devices that depends on 2.4Ghz frequency such as smoke detectors, thermostat, laptop that connects to NAS for backup etc. and degraded and unreliable 2.4Ghz network make it absolutely worthless considering the amount I spent on this router.
I am seriously thinking to take this back to the store. I don’t see any point in spending almost double amount of money to get a couple of benefits and a lot of drawbacks and pay for a premium to get their phone support if needed to an overpriced product.
I would not recommend this router at its current price and it is unable to meet its original claims and comes with a premium phone support after 90 days.

Please reach out to Netgear Support. I had similar issue in my home (2800 square feet) during the setup and Support asked me to change settings in Router page and now i am getting superior coverage in 2.4 and 5 Ghz for all 17 connected devices.

There are not much Android tablets with premium specs in the market compare to Apple iPad, but Samsung is not ready to give up the fight with the release of high-end Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 with significantly updated specs, HDR screen and improved S Pen support. It is equally positioned with iPad Pro.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 screen has a 9.7-inch 1536 x 2048 Super AMOLED display with support of HDR content and it matches the iPad Pro 9.7 in size and resolution. Samsung Tab S3's screen size and resolution have not changed with pixel density of 264 pixels per inch. It has Super AMOLED display, for brighter, richer colors. The main upgrade over the Tab S2 is HDR content support. There is not a huge amount of HDR content yet, but once there is this it will be really helpful with Samsung Galaxy Tab S3. Another big change for this model is that there's no 8.0-inch option, Tab S3 only coming in a 9.7-inch size.
Tab S3 has metal and glass build with similar size to Tab S2. Samsung upgraded the design for the Galaxy Tab S3, replacing the soft plastic back of the Tab S2 with a glass one, but retaining the metal frame. The overall appearance like an oversized Samsung Galaxy S7.
While cameras are never the highlight of a tablet, Samsung Tab S3 came with 13MP back side camera and 5MP front facing camera with LED flash. It does include an autofocus and can record 4K video at 30fps.Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 came with 6,000mAh one and it can last up to 12 hours of video playback. I have used more than 10 hours without any issues. It supports fast charging via USB Type-C, so you shouldn't be waiting too long.
Tab S3 runs the latest major version of Android 7.0 overlaid with Samsung's own interface. It came with quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset and 4GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 only comes in one size - 32GB, but it also has a microSD card slot with support for cards of up to 256GB if you need more storage for apps and games.

It is one of the best android tablet with premium features and equally matching iPad Pro. It worked really well with Samsung Book Cover Keyboard for accurate and comfort typing.

Apps can be downloaded from Google Play or Samsung Store. If you are looking for side loading apps from 3rd party, you can do that as well. It is similar like S2 with upgraded features.

I currently have the Netgear NightHawk router. Will this be better than that, and should I get rid of that one?
Yes. It is much better than X6 or X8. I am getting 300+ mbps in all over the places in my house.

Can you use with comcast.
Yes. It will work with any ISPs. You just need to connect router with your modem and during setup it will identify the satellite as well.
