I purchased this movie on blu ray after researching to find some the best movies on blu ray to have if you have a home theater. This movie was suggested by several sites as haveing good surrond sound so I decided to purchase it. The movie surrounds a captain who may be a little obsessed with capturing or destroying an enemy ship that is by far a better vessel than his own. I have to say that the movie is a good movie but can go through extended droughts without having action scenes.
The video is good but not the best. The audio really surprised me. The movie opens with relatively no action scene, then all of a sudden erupts with sound. The movie becomes alive with sound that is output during action scenes. I would recommend this movie to anyone.
What's great about it: Surrond sound during action scenes
What's not so great: Goes through droughts at times with no action scenes

I was very disappointed when viewing this movie on blu ray and discovering that the video is sub par when recalling and comparing other blu ray movies to this one. This is a good movie but it was kind of a let down when viewing it on blu ray because blu ray is capable of so much more than was presented on this blu ray version of Hustel & Flow. I watched the movie on my plasma and noticed picture quality to be low. This blu ray version also doesn't take advantage of the hi-def lossless sound tracks that are available through blu ray. The movie is featured with the regular dolby digital sound track that can be found on mostly all DVDs. It doesn't even have an option to bitstream dolby digital so that it is lossless like some blu rays have when the better hi-def sound tracks are not incorporated into the movie.
At the end of the day though, this is a great academy award winning movie to watch. If you like rap music and want to get a glimpse of what it could be like for someone to strive to accomplish their dream of providing a better life for themselves and the ones they care about, this is the movie to watch. That is mostly what the movie is about. A pimp/hustler trying to better his life through rap music. Even if you don't like rap music it is still a great movie to watch. I would recommend this movie on blu ray but equally so on DVD. I think if you have a DVD or blu ray player with decent upconversion, you will not notice any difference in the video or sound quality.
What's great about it: Great Movie, great actors, good storyline
What's not so great: Blu-ray video and sound

A must have set of movies for your collection

Even though I have seen these movies before, each more than once on DVD. I found myself on the edge of my seat in anticipation when viewing this set of films on blu ray. These movies are simply great. Each film is as good as the other one. There was not one dropped ball amoung them. I can not see how anyone would have anything bad to say about these films. The plot grabs and demands your attention. You will be on the edge of your seat as you root for Bourne and wait to see what is next.
The blu ray format is also complementary to these films. Blu ray provides these films with hi def video and sound that can amaze you. The sound is especially thought out. The car chases are wonderfully done as far as action goes and the sound from the car chases provides another dimension to the movies that makes it seem as though you are there with Bourne. If you don't have surround sound, I would seriously suggest you get the capability. You are missing out on the other aspect of movies, the surround sound. The sound track can often take a bad movie and make it a very good movie. It is for this reason that you should aquire surround sound capabilities if you love to watch movies. The sound for this movie is well thought out and not over done making the overall movie experience with these films very enjoyable.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes action suspense movies. This is a great one.

Great action movie with great surround sound

This is a movie that I thought was the best movie on DVD or Blu Ray I have watched in 2010 witch only consist of January so far. If you like action this is the movie for you. The plot is also a bit unique centered around convicts giving up control of their motor functions so that other people can play in games with their bodies while the convict is aware of his or her environment. The Blu Ray version of this movie is complementary also providing the high def sound format DTS HD Master Audio. If you have a good home theater set up and are able to play the high def sound tracks that come on blu ray movie disc, you will be able to enjoy the other aspect of all movies a lot of people miss out on which is the sound. The surround sound in this movie is so good it makes you feel as though you are in it. It was simply awesome. In my opinion, the sound is just as important as the video. I believe that you should not only focus on buying the best tv set possible but also focus on being able to take advantage of the surround sound sound tracks that come on most movie media. As with this movie if you don't have this capability, you are missing out on an even better movie experience. The sound can often turn a bad movie without it into a good movie when listening to it in surround sound. I would recommend this movie to anybody for its action, plot, and surround sound.

I purchased this internet security software at the same time of purchasing a Sony VAIO with Windows 7. I purchased it because it comes with a lot of features to better protect your computer. It has a virtual environment mode which makes it hard for someone to detect what keystrokes you are inputing on your computer with say keylogger spying software. It has anti-virus software for files, email, internet surfing, and, instant messaging. There is also a network attack blocker feature that protects against attacks against machines on your network. It also comes with its on firewall so you don't have to use the windows provided firewall. There are more features that are benificial, these are just what I can remember.
The software installed with no problems during installation. It ran well with no problems intially also. Intially the software didn't seam to bog down my computer like some reports for other virus software. This was intially. The only problem I had so far came after my first internet update for the software. After updating the software, I found that the software slowed down my IE8 significantly. This was very frustrating. I was about to become really angry but found a solution for it on Kaspersky's website forum. Apparently quite a few people were experiencing the same thing. The solution involeved going into the the internet options settings in the Windows operating system. Under the Advanced tab I had to click on the reset button wait for it to reset the browser then restart the browser. After that, all was well. This hiccup is the reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars.
I would recommend this software to anyone. It installs easy, has a lot of features, and is easy to use.
What's great about it: Has a lot of protection that comes with it.
What's not so great: IE8 ran very slow after first update.

The Hunting in Connecticut is not all that scary of movie until you watch it on blu-ray and in surround sound. Blu-ray allows one to watch a movie in high fidelity video and sound. The scare factor in any horror movie will be amplified at least two fold when watching the movie and listening to it through a good home theater system also. I think everyone needs to experience going from virtually no sound coming out of the speakers to all of a sudden a very loud sound as some monster, ghost, or serial killer jumps out and attacks. You may leave your seat as my wife does and did during this movie. The Hunting in Connecticut is recorded in DTS-HD Master Audio which provides a good soundstage for making a scary movie even scarier. I enjoyed watching this movie and would recommend this movie to anyone, especially if you have a home theater system.

Constantine is a good movie to watch. It’s even better on blu-ray as it is recorded in Dolby TrueHD. The theme of the movie is great but coupled with great surround sound it is an even greater movie. I for one think the sound is just as important as the movie itself. If you have ever watched a movie in surround sound through a home theater then you should know the extra dimension of enjoyment the sound will bring. Constantine is a movie that can provide that extra dimension. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

Very good high def movie with great high def sound

I watched this movie on DVD first since it originally came out in high def to play on HD players. I for one take into account the movie, video, and audio and watching it in HD is like it was a new movie. Transformers the movie was very good overall but deviates a little from the original transformer cartoons I remember as a kid. For instance bubble bee was a Volkswagen Beetle and Megatron was a hand gun with a very powerful blast. Neither is so for the movie. The blu-ray video is very good to watch as it shows clear crisp images throughout most of the movie. There were some parts that didn’t look like 1080p. The audio which is what I like the most was exceptional during the action scenes. The movie is recorded in the Dolby TrueHD format which I like a lot. Transformers Dolby TrueHD soundtrack creates an environment during action scenes that make you feel like you are there in the fight with the characters in the movie. For instance in Transformers, at the beginning of the movie when the first transformer helicopter attacks the military base, the surround sound is awesome. You almost feel like ducking. Audio in a movie is often overlooked due to the lack of a home theater system large or small that takes advantage of the different surround sound formats that mostly all movies are recorded in. The audio can often make a bad movie seem better or good movies seem worse if not done right. Wanted definitely has it right for the action scenes it has. It definitely makes the movie more enjoyable. I would suggest to anyone who loves listening to movies in surround sound to buy this movie in blu-ray. If you don't have a surround sound system I would suggest you get one and watch this movie. This is a good movie."

I have read the reviews at bestbuy.com of this movie and it seems that people either love or hate this movie. I for one take into account the movie, video, and audio. The movie was good overall and I can see where the Matrix comparison comes from with Wanted's storyline. The blu-ray video is very good to watch as it shows clear crisp images. The audio which is what I like the most was exceptional during the action scenes. The movie is recorded in the DTS HD Master Audio format which I'm beginning to like more and more. I watched several movies recored in the DTS HD Master Audio format and it is a very good surround sound format especially coupled with Wanted. This is a movie you will definitely want to have in your collection. It is kid and adult oriented. It does contains some bad words but is not littered with them. It is funny, has lots of action, and good actors. My wife, son and I all enjoyed the movie. My favorite parts of the movie were the video and surround sound. This movie is excellent at both. I would recommend this movie to anyone.
