Is it quite worth the hype?

This game has so much hype due to graphics that I wish could vote it low, but it is a solid shooter. I prefer Resistance to this one though. Many consider COD4 the best game of 2007. In my opinion Resistance is the best shooter out on PS3.
COD4 far outdoes COD3.
What's great about it: solid shooter
What's not so great: alot of hype

SynopsisImagine the horrifying consequences if the Third Reich had won World War II. America would be under Nazi control, and the freedoms and joys we take for granted would now be gone. This terrible scenario is the premise of Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, a thrilling first-person shooter loaded with intensity. With the Nazis taking over such cities as New York and Washington DC, only a homegrown insurgency can overthrow the Nazis. Will you join the resistance?Fall of Liberty thrusts you into an action-driven storyline where you must make a difference as an American hero. Authentic wartime combat with a fresh perspective makes the war personal and relevant. You'll have to use guerrilla tactics to outflank superior enemy forces and take advantage of a unique grappling system that features environmental kills, quick kills and human shields. Online gameplay includes Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch modes with options to play as either Americans or Germans.

Better than what some reviews say

Some people are spoiled with COD4 that anything less than gets an unfair shake. This game is FAR better than Conflict Denied Ops.
Aside from graphics being a little subpar this is an action packed game. I would recommend this for a beginner or average shooter fan.
I got 20 dollars off of mine so I ponder if it is worth 59.99. I would say it is worth 49.99 or less, but is certainly a good purchase.
What's great about it: grapple, pace, weapons
What's not so great: video graphics could be better
I would recommend this to a friend!

SynopsisFollowing a brutal military coup, Venezuela has entered a state of civil war. With no government to restore order, factions fight to seize control. The United States has offered assistance, but the new regime threatens to declare nuclear war if the United States intercedes. There is only one way to neutralize this threat: the top-secret CIA Special Activities Division. You must enter Venezuela as a member of this elite squad. Keep your cover at all costs, because the agency that employs you will deny any knowledge of you. The fate of your country is on the line. Can you and your squad restore order without revealing your identity?Unload on the enemy with massive firepower and exploding objects. Watch the barrage of flames and bullets as destruction permeates the tattered country. Wave after wave of terrorists emerge in environments in which nearly everything is destructible. Shoot through walls to take out adversaries and blast away to create an escape route. Need a team member to watch your back? Just press a single button and he'll be at your side. Switch between squad members in single-player mode, or have a friend join you in battle for two-player action. Just don't get caught or it's the end of the line.

Do I have to give it any star?

This game is the WORST FPS ever! This is a 2008 game for the PS3????????? LMAO. This is a set back for the PS3.
Why?
Checkpoints are not after an objective is complete. In some missions it is not until the end.
Players gets ONE weapon for the whole game. One guy has a sniper rifle and that is it.
The final mission is a joke. It is timed and you have minimal time to kill hundreds of guys and get to a bomb..WHILE capturing the bad guy alive. yea right. I have played many games and this one is far from realistic.
The graphics are subpar as well.
DO NOT waste money on this game. It is not even worth renting!
What's great about it: NONE
What's not so great: EVERYTHING!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only good 4 gore
on February 16, 2008

This is certainly not in the ranks of COD4 or GWAR2 which really set the bar high as far as a complete shooter game. What this game does offer is GORE factor. Dismemberment and over exaggerated blood loss makes this good eye candy. If you shoot an enemy's leg it will fly off and the limb will bleed like crazy. It is almost comical in the sense that limbs and torsos almost have seizures from being shot. So if you are looking for realistic, this is not it. If you want some gore this is it. The game was very short too.
What's great about it: gore
What's not so great: short, graphics not up to par

This game is truly the best shooter game out there, in my opinion. The action steadily intensifies with each level. This game keeps you on your toes.
The graphics are awesome! The sound on surround sound can almost frighten you.
After finally completing it I can not wait for 2 to come out!
What's great about it: fast paced, graphics, storyline, length
What's not so great: none
