Yest Another But Still Great WWII Game
on November 26, 2007

This is a fun game to play. At the price it is now it is definitely a pick up if you are just buying the system. The Call of Duty series has always been known for it's fast pace action and huge fire fights. The games have always been made after a series of WWII battles and usually based on a unit that was involved in those battles. There isn't much getting to know the guys in your unit type gameplay that some other games go for and it can sometimes feel in the game that you are just another soldier within the unit trying to stay alive. Depending on what you like this can be very fun or you may feel like you don't know what you are doing. I personally always like the ability to achieve the objective in the way that I feel is the best. This game as well as the first are both made by Infinity Ward. While the third game is made by a different company. Many of the gamers who liked the first two found many differences in the third they didn't like. So if you are a fan of the infinity ward COD's then you may want this game over COD 3.
Overall the gameplay is great and the controls for this series are always easy to pick up. The storyline is usually very interesting because it is in someway based off a real war and real battles. The old style guns and visuals are very nice and are always done well. If you are into World War games this is definitely the best one to get.
The online multi-player was not the best in my opinion for this game as I always seemed to have lag issues. However, it was extremely popular for most others, and was as always again very well done. I just personally was not a fan. At this point though COD 4 is out and is the online choice for the COD series. And is also very well done.
This is just a great game and for those looking for achievements you don't have to do any online ones. If you are good at FPS games this is a good one to get 1000/1000 since all you have to do is beat the game on Veteran (not that easy to do) to get all of them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Great Finish

To start this is the third game in a series of three. The first two games came out for the original Xbox. If you are just buying this game for the first time, you may not be familiar with the story. However, playing this game for the first time, MS and Bungie (makers of the game) did a very good job at keeping those who are new fans in tune with the story line. That storyline is based on the idea that you are a super human that has been created to fight in an ongoing war against the Covenant, who are invading aliens from another planet. With your ultimate goal being not to let them ever know the existence of Earth. However, in this game there are some interesting twist to the storyline and I'm not going to tell anymore about the story.
The game itself plays very well and I feel graphically it is obviously the best in the series. The game itself has never been much for lifelike graphics, and if that is what you are looking for you may want to look elsewhere. However, the surroundings in this game as well as the cut scenes are the nicest this series has ever seen. The controls in this game are very well done, as they always are and are hard to rival. Also the Xbox controller is probably the best for FPS games.
The online multiplayer in this game is also probably one of the best that is out there. The only one I can think of that can compete is COD 4 at this time, and that is all depending on what you're preferences are. The match making on Halo 3 is great and you will almost always be matched up with people of your skill level. Also you have a great selection of games, and maps on multiplayer. Xbox live has just recently added new maps for Halo 3 as well.
If you are looking for a great FPS for the Xbox 360 this is the one for you.

Great Family Game
on November 21, 2007

This is a great idea for the Xbox 360. The Scene it? games are very popular games, and I think if enough people are interested the same should happen with this game. It comes with four buzzers and a receiver that plugs in through one of the consoles USB ports. The buzzers work from across the room and the receiver is very receptive no matter how far away. The only downer of the buzzers is that they all use batteries. The game does come with batteries for all four, but replacing them will likely become a chore.
The game itself is well done and the load times are not that bad. The announcer on the game does get mildly annoying, but it works since it's family entertainment. The question system is very well done as it tracks which questions were asked and won't repeat them. There are a ton of questions on the game so unless you're playing non-stop you likely won't see the same question for a while. There are different types of questions and scenarios that they ask you such as revealing photos slowly to guessing props from movies. There are different types of play such as short play, long play, and party play. The achievements come very easily for those looking for a game with easy achievements. You can likely get around 600 of 1000 in one night and not really try to. I think this game has a good future as you will be able to likely download new question packs from Xbox live. Pretty much future proofing the original purchase. Much like the Guitar Hero games.
I haven't found any glitches in the game yet so I will say this is a very well made game that serves it's purpose as one of the few party games on Xbox 360. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoyed the DVD game, or is interested in party play. Although the single player game is just as enjoyable.

New Genre Of Game

This is a good game if you are interested in doing surgeries in video game form. The storyline of this game is that you are a doctor who joins a hospital and you start doing surgeries for patients. The surgeries start from very minor and work there way up in difficulty. You get graded on each one, and there is a menu where you can go back to previous missions, and do them over to get a better grade. You have to use both the wiimote and the nunchuk in order to play the game, and this is one of the biggest downfalls, in my opinion. The game requires you to move at a fairly quick pace, as all the missions are timed and you have to make sure your patients don't die. However, the nunchuk is not very precise at picking your tools and will cause you some frustration. If you are not able to stick with a game when controls are not the easiest, you will not find this one to your liking. The story is also read only and with still shots. The story also gets a little out of line when you have to do such things as defuse a bomb, and this is simple trial and error. The main storyline is based around a new disease that you are trying to discover the cause and cure of. Overall the storyline is pretty good if you are willing to stick with this game. I only gave it a three because I found the controls troubling. I'm also not a fan personally of games that you have to read all of the conversations. Also graphically the characters are very anime, but the surgeries look like cardboard cutout images. I know this game did not want to go ultra realistic for the surgeries, but they are not that graphically well done at all. Also, the general repetitiveness of the surgeries after a while lacks the depth to hold your interest.

Good Headset
on October 4, 2007

This is a good headset for online gaming. You won't have any problems speaking to and hearing your opponents. The best feature of this headset is that it stays put and is very lightweight. As some of the wireless headsets have been known to fall off your ear if you move to much. This headset's only downfall is that it's attached to the controller by a wire, and that gets annoying. Especially if you pause to get up, you have to constantly take it off, and put it back on, rather than just walking away like you would with a wireless headset. Overall a great headset I've never had a problem with it, and for the price you really can't argue with that.

Mediocre Hockey Game
on October 3, 2007
Posted by: Throwdown918

As a big hockey fan I would like to see a better effort at a game than this. This game has the basic amount of modes and as far as EA games go this follows in the line of Madden and NCAA as 2007 still being very generic next gen games. This games most annoying feature is that everything is done mainly with the joy stick. You shoot with the joy stick and you hit with it as well. The shooting is a hassle as it really makes no difference if you use computer help or manual aim with it. You will either miss the net completely and have the puck go over the boards, hit the post, or it will go in the goal. And even if you score it will more than likely go in off the post. I am not sure if EA is aware that hitting the post is not frequent as they make it out to be. The online part of this game is also lacking online leagues which is in the 2008 game so I would get that one instead. The pros of the game are that it has great graphics and once you get used to the controls you can deal with them. However overall the game is very lackluster and is just not polished. This game gets three stars because it's hockey and I'm a fan and 2k7 was worse.

Doug Liman's box-office hit The Bourne Identity gets a new DVD release to coincide with the theatrical release of the film's sequel, The Bourne Supremacy. This "Explosive Extended Edition" of the film offers a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English, French, and Spanish soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, French, and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a new beginning and ending for the film, deleted scenes, a featurette about choreographing a fight scene, a featurette about how much the film resembles actual spy work, a short documentary on amnesia, and a profile of Robert Ludlum -- the author who created these characters. This is a solid release from Universal, who were kind enough to throw in a free ticket to see The Bourne Supremacy with all purchases of this disc.

One of A Trilogy
on October 2, 2007

This is one movie of a three movie Trilogy. The plot of this movie is basically a man who has forgotten completely about his past and is now trying to piece together what that past was. However the strange thing to him is that he has abnormal abilities in fighting and quick thinking skills. Bourne however does not understand why he has these abilities. After a short time though Bourne's ex-agency starts to come after Bourne and he has to fight to stay alive, as well as discover why the agency is chasing after him, as he does not remember who he was and how he is involved with them. You see both sides of the story from the agency that is chasing him, as well as Bourne's side. This movie contains some of the best action fight sequences that are very fast paced. This action movie isn't your regular shoot em' up, and never hit the good guy action flick. Bourne gets beat up a lot in this movie and isn't invincible like other action flicks. Guns are actually not very widely used in the movie as there is a lot of hand to hand combat mixed with handguns. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in action movies. There are almost always a great car chase in each of the movies as well with non-traditional vehicles used in the chases such as old Mini-coopers, no sports cars here. Great Movie and if you like the movie check out the books as they offer a completely different story than the movies.

Modern video-game players depend on memory units. Games have become too advanced and time-consuming to simply plug in, play and walk away. You need a reliable unit with plenty of space that will hold all of the information you depend on.The Xbox 360 Memory Unit takes your games everywhere you need to be. With 64MB of memory, you'll have the space you need for game content and more. It takes the place of the hard drive and allows you to play on Xbox Live and save game progress. Great Idea

Most people feel that because the Xbox 360 has a removable hard drive that the memory card system was no longer useful. However if you are concerned about limited content the memory card can be taken to your local mall or game store, and you can download items that are not available on live to your memory card by plugging the memory card into the stores Xbox 360 Kiosk. Also this acts as a great way to carry game saves and profiles to your friends house without having to change hard drives. Very useful if you are interested in the content from stores as I see this as this products main use. Also helpful if you want to move small saves from place to place.
What's great about it: Very Useful
What's not so great: Small Storage Size

Great Follow-Up To The First Game
on October 2, 2007
Posted by: Throwdown918

GRAW 2 as it's popularly called is a great follow-up to the first game. All in all it is better than the first game in most every aspect. The campaign mode is rather short and I finished it in one day of playing it straight through. However, the campaign itself is very good and keeps you interested enough that you want to play it all day. GRAW 2's main feature is it's multi-player on Xbox Live. There are great online features on this game that include a ranking system and awesome maps. Also most of the favorite maps from the original game are available on Xbox live for download for free at this point. This game is also always graphically stunning and very realistic. For those who like a realistic shooter where the people you shoot die after they are shot once this game is true to that idea. The first game in this series and this one as well are must haves for someone with an Xbox 360. Also try Rainbow Six Vegas if you would like to shoot up Las Vegas.
What's great about it: Great Online Play
What's not so great: Short Campaign Mode

can i get the internet on the xbox 360 with a wireless router

If you mean can you connect to the internet with the Xbox 360 with a wireless router yes you can. You can either hard wire with an ethernet wire that connects to your router and then to the back of your xbox. Or you can buy the microsoft wireless adapter that will pick up your wireless routers signal. This is typically a 100.00 item but can be purchased in some places for much less. If you are asking can you use the 360 as a internet browser it is the only console that does not have one.

My Playstation 3 is freezing on me.

I just got my playstation 3 for x-mas and if i play more than 1 game of Madden 09 in a row it freezes at the begining of the second game in the screen where u make your play choices. Is this a problem with my system or the game?
This can be both the system or the game. I would attempt to borrow someone elses Madden and see if that disc is working.

If you have any other games are they also doing this? If they are then it's more likely the PS3 and not your game. If your other games do this then I would call Sony and report the problem to them. You may need to send your PS3 in for repair. The majority reason the PS3 freezes is it's too hot. If your PS3 out in the open and able to breathe? Or is it enclosed in a entertainment center? If it's a 60 GB version there has been some minimal reports of failures regarding freezing as the first sign.

If none of your other games are doing this then your game may be the problem. Is the game updated or are you canceling the updates and just playing? If you borrow someone elses Madden 09 and it works then it's your disc. Try calling EA or returning it. Unfortunately you are likely not going to get much help if it's the disc. EA may send you another one. Good luck with that.

A side note is that EA games especially Madden has been released with a lot of flaws including ones that made the games unplayable. I would search the internet for information regarding this.

I love to buy a ps3 before that i want to make sure that I can play tennis on ps3 like I do on my wii using the wii remote like tennis racket??
The PS3 does have motion sensing controllers. However, they do not use them in the same way as the Nintendo Wii does. So you will not be able to play tennis on the PS3 like you do on the Wii.

wireless controllers

does the wireless controller have to be pointed directly at the console like an IR remote? or can it be used with console in an open front stereo rack that is not infront of tv but on adjacent wall. No walls in between but console would be off to the side in the stereo rack facing perpendicular to tv.
The PS3 uses blue tooth in it's wireless controllers which do not need to be directly pointed at the system in order to work. Therefore, you should be able to place the PS3 where you want and still have it work.

The only problem I could see is if you had the PS3 extremely far away.
