Not COD 4 But Still a great game
on December 3, 2008

This game is pretty simmilar to Call of Duty 4 except that it is set during WWII. It seems some people are turned off by this and do not know why a developer would go back to an old formula after a title was just named Game of the Year. A game takes a few years to be developed so this title was made before Activison knew that COD 4 would be a hit. There is a multiplayer campain in this game which is new for the series. The ranking system is simmilar to that of COD 4. You stil get specials for getting numbers of kills in row. The one that is most changed is the 7 kills gets you a dog attack now which is pretty cool. Check this game out if you like shooters or the Call of Duty series. Maybe the next one will be set in modern times.
What's great about it: Mutiplayer campain mode, dog attact
What's not so great: WWII but that is ok with this game

Worth the Hype!!!!
on November 10, 2008

Gears of War 2 is one of those few games where the experience is worth the hype. This game does what every game sequal should do be greater then the first.
The Graphics are fabulous. The visuals during key moments are spectacular but I will not give those away. You will have to see them for yourself. One of the coolest new visuals is when you are shooting your Lancer the tip of the gun will start to glow red from getting hot.
The story is much improved from the first. You really get to understand the characters that you have grown to love. The war is so much larger in this game and you feel it. You are still with the same group of guys from the first. You seem to be the best squad out there. There are some great moments in the game that you will want to go back and play again.
Multiplayer has seen the biggest improvement. In Gears 1 it seemed that multiplayer was an after thought but it was still one of the best multiplayer out there. In Gears 2 they have upgraded in every aspect. It is now much easier to get into games with your friends. There are more game types and new maps to play on. As a bonus when you buy the game there is a code for a free classic maps download that has some of the maps from the first game but with revamped graphics. These are maps like Mansion, Canals, and Gridlock to name a few. Some multiplayer types are Warzone (just like the first game with 5 vs 5 deathmatches), Submission (Meat flag or capture the flag with the flag being a person the computer playes that fights back), Wingman (2vs2vs2vs2vs2 mode where you battle it out for the most kills as a team) and Horde mode.
Horde mode is the best multiplayer experience ever. You play with up to 5 player and you battle the Locust Horde in waves. The enemies get harder and harder as you go on. Every 10 waves the Horde gets stronger and has better weapons. I have gotten up to level 39 so far and it takes 3 boomshots to kill one guy.
For weapons all of the ones from the first are back plus a new burst pistol, flame-thrower, mortar, and mini-gun.
Gears 2 is a definate pickup for any Xbox 360 owner and shooter fan.
What's great about it: Horde mode, Story Line, Familiar controls
What's not so great: Some glitches that can be fixed with update

Saving the Lego World I block at a time

This is a great game for any age. You will have a fun time playing it. I liked playing as the villians more then I did with Batman and Robin. The game is sort of short and easy. I did not like that you can not play co-op on Xbox Live. Sometimes you can destroy things that are behind walls and I thought that took me out of the game plus you miss out on the Lego points. Still a fun game that everyone should at least try. Save the Lego World one Lego piece at a time.
What's great about it: Its Batman
What's not so great: Lenght, no Live co-op

Great Games

The Metal Gear Solid games are some of the best games in videogame history. I do not own a Playstation 3 but wanted to play these games with all the hype going on for Metal Gear 4. Playing these games I felt the feeling I had the first time I played them. Compared to todays standards these graphics were some of the greatest. I remember playing the 1st Metal Gear demo for playstation one and could not believe how it looked. Any fan of videogames should pick this up to play. For the younger people who did not play this as a kid also check it out.
What's great about it: Three Classic Games
What's not so great: Need a PSONE memory card for Metal Gear Solid 1

This game is another great in the GTA series. One of the coolest things in this game was being able to go to the tallest buildings and being able to base jump off of it and to open a parashute and land safely. Really fun to do when you bring a motercycle with you to the top and jump off. Also go look for the surprise in a a policestation bathroom. For Mature audiences.
What's great about it: Being able to workout.
What's not so great: Planes

The complete darkness is agonizing. All that reminds you you're conscious is the cool puddles of sweat in your palms and the indistinguishable chatter of hundreds of headbangers ready to hang on your every move. You flex your fingers, hopelessly begging for blood to keep flowing to them. Years of practice and determination have come down to this. Your mind races in rewind, and your fear and anxiety take over. They yelled at you hundreds of times to turn it down. You were told to cut your moppy hair every Sunday for six years. They said you weren't good enough, and you sat through a thousand lectures about "the future" and your wasted youth. But you sliced through the fog of negativity, and all that stands before you now is a dream ready for the taking. The spotlight comes up, bathing you in blinding light. A collage of silhouettes erupt as your drummer counts down. This is your one chance ~ it's time to rock out or cop out. Are you ready to take your first step towards rock-and-roll superstardom? When the lights come up, will you be signing autographs or unemployment papers?Guitar Hero simulates the thrill and the glory of rock 'n' roll. Choose from eight different characters, from metalhead to classic rocker, and build a career as a working rock musician. The real kick is in the gameplay, which incorporates a guitar-shaped controller for added realism (not included). Play along with 30 awesome rock tunes from some of the greatest bands in history, such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Boston, Audioslave and White Zombie. Four difficulty levels test your skills and six venues place you before increasingly larger audiences. Air guitar is for airheads. Take the next step and experience life as a rock legend.

This movie was pretty good. It does not follow the exact story like from the comics but give you the general idea of the story. In the comic Superman is gone for a while, this movie makes it seem like only days. Still check it out if you are a comic fan.
What's not so great: Superman looks like an old man

Good Transformers Game

I enjoyed this game cause I have loved the Transformers since I was a kid. This game in not great because it is just a movie licenced game. The team who made it did not spend years working on it like a Gears of War or Halo game. Still fun to play if you want so quick achievement points.
What's great about it: can get the G1 characters
What's not so great: same old movie licenced product

This was a great movie. It deals with materalism in our society. Patrick Bateman could be anyone of us who wanted what others have. Everyone wants to be the top dog at work. The character could be anyone who sees this film. Check it out.

In this unforgettable debut film from Quentin Tarantino, a group of perfect strangers have been assembled to pull off the perfect heist. Meticulously planned, nothing can go wrong. But it turns into a bloody ambush when one of them turns out to be a police informer. As the group begins to question each other's guilt, the simmering tensions threaten to explode the situation before the police have a chance to step in. Boldly blending graphic violence with comedic references to popular culture, RESERVOIR DOG ushered in an often-mimicked style of filmmaking in the 1990's. Director Quentin Tarantino Star Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth, Chris Penn, Steve Buscemi Special Features Widescreen , Bonus Shorts, Deleted scenes, Documentary, Featurettes 100 Minutes Year of 1992.

This is a great take on a hiest/gangster film. With all of Tarantino's films you can see he pays homage to the classic films that he grew up watching. This is a great independent film. Check it out if you like his other films.

why does Xbox live cost so much and why doesn't Playstation live cost nothing

Xbox Live Silver packs are free. This gets you online and allows for updates on games. Xbox Live Gold packs are what cost money. You are granted access to alot of really great features. The most notable one is a friends list. You will have a list of the people that you like to play with and can see what they are playing or if they are on so you can get into the same games. You also have access to videos that are like little shows that help you with achievements, show upcoming games, etc. They also have downloads for game demos, previews and many other great features. Have seen both and the money is really worth it if you go online alot.

xbox live / xbox pro

Is the xbox live the same thing as the xbox pro?
Hi J's mom. Xbox Live and Pro are not the same thing. Xbox Live is the internet service that Xbox provides. There are two types of accounts for Xbox Live, Gold and Silver. Silver is free to anyone who wants to go online but it is very limited. Gold has to be paid for. You can get different plans depending on what you want to get and this gives you access to alot of features. The main one is a friends list where you can chat with friends online and play games with them. You can also access downloadable content for games and download older games (all do cost though).
Xbox Pro is just a counsel. There are a few different ones. The Xbox pro is the most popular and comes with everything that you would need to start playing right out of the box. There is a Xbox arcade but that does not come with a harddrive so it is hard to save games or even get online and use Xbox Live. There also is an elite that comes with a hard drive with more space and an HDMI hookup for TV's that support that.
Hopefully I answered your question.
