great cd overall, i would compare it to their second album, believe for what they sound like- not quite as edgy as they were in their first cd for the most part, but definately a ballin disc.
What's great about it: all the songs are good, many are great- good guitar solos
What's not so great: we could use more crazy noises by david draimen
Director Robert Zemeckis mines the epic Old English poem for his latest action adventure to feature performance capture animation. The medieval tale was adapted for the screen by Neil Gaiman and Roger Avery, and no doubt it bears little resemblance to the text you studied in high school. So the story goes, King Hrothgar (Anthony Hopkins) and his people are being terrorized by the horrific monster Grendel (Crispin Glover). Hrothgar puts out a call to any brave man who can come and slay the monster. Enter Beowulf (Ray Winstone) and his brave band of soldiers. Beowulf is a mighty warrior, and he quickly dispatches Grendel, but in doing so he enrages Grendel's mother-played here by an extremely sexy and serpentine Angelina Jolie. Beowulf journeys out to lay waste to Grendel's mother as well, but soon finds his resolve tested by great temptation. really fun game if you love music, i dont know if the song selection beats the original gh, but having original songs is something awesome. they went a little overboard with hammer-ons and pull-offs on a few of the songs, but its alot of fun, definately worth the $.

the pros and cons say it all, i (like the other guys who reviewed this game) played the demo- which was awesome, then i rented the game- and it was awesome at first but it gets old quick when you realize that in the first 5 hours of the game, you fight 2 types of enemies (who have negative a.i.) and you have been playing in the same surroundings the whole time. on the posative side, it has sweet team-based combat and cool abilities and powers, its a deacent game.
What's great about it: good story, good visuals, cool features
What's not so great: gets bland quick- enemies are all the same, levels are all the same, it gets boring quick.

overall a great cd. if you liked their first album, you will love their second. every song is awesome and their overall sound is very deep, not the average cookie-cutter songs, every song is very unique and filled with great instrumentals. i highly recommend it to anyone who loves music.
