This USB-parallel cable allows you to connect your parallel printer to your computer via USB port.

I'm going to say upfront that I got an "open box" version of this item. That may be the reason for it not working.
When I plugged the adapter into the computer, it recognized the USB device, but it would never recognize the printer on the parallel port end.
It was also twice the price of one that I purchased the next day from another store that just worked perfectly and fit on the printer better.
What's great about it: Nothing.
What's not so great: Everything. Priced too high, it didn't work, package was hard to get into, didn't fit well on the printer, etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
