Based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, 300 takes over the screen like an invading horde. With all the gushing blood of a horror movie and the scope of a classic epic, the second film from Zack Snyder (who helmed the 2004 remake of DAWN OF THE DEAD) is an impressive visual spectacle. This movie was fun to watch. The CGI was amazing and the acting was top notch (although the ascents seemed weird). This is a very close adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel, would a few things added to make the story more fleshed out. The DVD is great, although I'd recommend the HD version more, so you can see the movie in it's full glory.

This movie is a treasure. Excellent cinematography, masterful ambiance, and a heart wrenching story. It definitely isn't for someone looking for a happy go lucky movie, but if you want a movie that will make you think, this is it.
In this spoof of Robin Hood movies (and his own comedies), writer-director Mel Brooks goes for laughs in his usual way and off-color humor abounds. Director Mel Brooks Star Cary Elwes, Tracey Ullman, Richard Lewis, Isaac Hayes, Special Features Widescreen Year of 1993.

This is a very funny movie. I would rate it pretty high among other parodies, but the screwball comedy isn't for everyone. If you're a Mel Brooks fan, you will appreciate this movie (although you'd probably had seen it). If you're not a Mel Brooks fan, this is a good place to start.
