This DVD contains the first five episodes of the anime series Kyo Kara Maoh!, a show that is as much a spoof of fantasy stories as it is a straightforward entry in the genre. Each episode is presented in a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original aspect ratio. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo, but purists may prefer the Japanese Dolby Digital Stereo soundtrack (utilizing the English subtitles if necessary). Supplemental materials include biographies of the cast and a text-free rendition of the opening credit sequence.

When a young boy gets into some trouble with a gang and suddenly gets flushed down a toilet and lands in an alternate universe... you know that you've entered the world that is Kyou Kara Maoh! I was first introduced to this product by a friend, and when we sat down to watch it, I instantly fell in love. You have your typical hero of the story, the young teenage boy who evidentially got flushed down a toilet, as well as other amazing main characters that you just got to love. This series has lessons that are great to learn in life, such as how to overcome obstacles, face the unknown, and how important it is to make a decision and stick to it. This product features multiple language selections as well as subtitles, promos of other upcomming anime or manga selections, textless versions of the opening or ending, and also just the fun of viewing one hilarious series.
I would recommend this to a friend!
