Great Universal Remote

This remote is great, you can set actions so with a press of a button your TV turns on, changes channels to DVD player and also turns on your DVD player. The only reason I gave it four stars is that it can only handle 5 devices.
What's great about it: Easy to set up, easy to use, good price
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Standard Lens: The wide-open aperture of this versatile Nikon lens allows you to capture photos in most situations without a flash. Whatever you're shooting, you'll get consistently sharp results at dusk, dawn or even in dim indoor lighting. Weighing just 5.5 oz., it makes a convenient carry-around lens for shooting stills and video.

Great low-light lens
on July 5, 2008

This lens is a great combination for any camera. If you are taking pictures indoor and want to use the ambient light then a prime lens is a must.
The large aperture of 1.8 provides excellent background blurring. The 50mm focal length is perfect for smaller areas and is great for portraits providing a close working distance without distorting the nose or facial features.
The only con is that the outer body is made of plastic. The build quality is still the same as other Nikon lens, but just not metal like some of the more expensive lens.
What's great about it: Small and lightweight
What's not so great: Plastic body

I own every Rascall Flatts album that they have made. This album is by far the best they have made. If you like their new songs on the radio then this is a must have for all fans.
What's great about it: High Quality

A must have

This is a perfect adapter for anyone with a MacBook laptop. Since the MacBook laptops do not come with a VGA or DVI fullsize output this adapter allows you to connect an external monitor or a projector.
You can use the monitor to extend the desktop for a much larger working area or just use it as a double display. It can support a 1400x900 resolution monitor. The clarity it produces is great and fast refresh rates are available. With this product the possibilities are endless. For the price you can not get any better. There are also different adapters to connect to regular DVI or to a RCA video or S-video source.
Exceptional value for a low price.
What's great about it: Small

Great Tenacious D design
on October 1, 2007

If you like Tenacious D songs and the first movie then you will love this one The only reason I gave it a 4 Star rating is that this is not for everyone. The language is not for those against cursing and also a provacative scene towards the end.
If you are not offended and like Jack Black give this movie a try, rent it and you will probably end up buying it like me.
What's great about it: Best Tenacious D Movie ever, awesome vocals and good graphics
What's not so great: Language for children

This is an FX lens also right?

I'm about to buy a D610 (pending answers) and just wanted to be positive that it worked with the ff and not cropped like on my DX camera I have now.
This lens can be used for both FX and DX lenses. I personally have this lens for my D700 and D800

What is the Contrast Ratio?

what is the contrast ratio of the:Sony - BRAVIA / 32" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV
Model: KDL-32S5100 | SKU: 9240225

What is the contrast ratio of the:Samsung - 32" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV
Model: LN32C530F1F | SKU: 9775416
Contrast ratio varies between companies. Each has their own way of measuring it, it is best to compare TV from the same manufacturer. Some use the ratio at one set brightness, while some companies measure the black at the lowest brightness and the whites at the brightest.

Which TV should I get? The KDL60EX700 or the KDL55HX701?

I personally would buy the first one. I prefer the LED backlit TVs. Yes the second one has 240Hz, but I dont think the difference will be that visible between the two.

Can one buy a Tv with built in DVR and DVD capability?

I have not seen one of those yet. It would be better to buy a dedicated DVR or a small PC that you would tie into your cable or antenna to record and then connect it to your TV. I use a Dell ZinoHD and records my HD over-the-air great and provides me computer access in my living room at the same time.

channel 7.1 vs 507 (broadcast vs cable)???

We have Verizon FIOS TV service. I bought an extra TV (Insignia 22" LED LCD) intending to plug it into the cable directly. When I do so and program the TV for cable (vs antenna) and scan available channels, I get channel numbers like 2.1, 7.1, etc., instead of numbers like 502 and 507. Many channels are "found" but with no signal. What gives?
If I am not mistake FIOS requires a box connected to your TV. When searching over-the-air some channels will appear with a decimal and a number. These mean that they are a digital broadcast. This allows for a larger number of signals. Where I live there are many channels under a given number (ex: 9.1, 9.2, 9.4- each having a slightly different resolution or show).

If I plan to use only a coax cable, what kind of 50" should I get? Plasma, LCD, 240hz, 120hz?

I would recommend a LCD over plasma. I find the picture is better and there is no risk of burning an image in. Also the LCD is better for inside cabinets due to less heat output. 120hz is plenty enough for nearly everything at this time.
