The ground shakes with rumbles from an explosion down the street. You hear disembodied shouts from your teammates. Bullets whiz by your helmet and explode on the wall behind you, sending chunks of concrete and rubble flying through the air. You're focused on your mission, but time seems to stop for a moment as you feel your weapon in your hand. Another bullet bursts against the wall, this time closer ~ and louder. That got your attention. There's no time for zoning out in the red zone. Meet back up with your team and make it off the Battlefield alive.Featuring the powerful Frostbite 2 engine, Battlefield 3 utilizes every ounce of power to provide the most immersive shooter experience you've ever known. Get ready to hold your ground on the front lines of a global conflict, and keep your finger on the trigger as the missions take you from city streets in New York and Paris to the relentless desert sands of Tehran. Take on the enemy by yourself in single player, or team up with a friend for intense co-op missions. Featuring the all-new Battlelog system, you can easily find your friends, socialize and track your progress. When your skills are battle-tested, load up for a 24-player online multiplayer mode, where you'll strap on the boots of a frontline infantry soldier and pilot powerful battle machines like Engineering EOD bots, tanks, jets and more. Fall in, Soldier ~ you're about to head out to the Battlefield once again.

Average War Game
on January 13, 2012

Well, I wasn't as impressed with this game as I thought I would be. This was a highly anticipated game with lots of hype. It lives up to most of it. But the game is average at best.
Storyline: same old same old. Fight the war, win the war, shoot the bad guy, swear a lot. I feel that they were trying to hard when writing the script to this game. It feels like they tried to figure out every single area in which they could throw in a cuss word. I have friends that were/are active military and even they say that it is more than what is true to life. They go for a lot of realism but having to hear the f word every other sentence is just overkill.
Gameplay: controls are great! responsive and accurate. But that is where is stops. I didn't find this game as challenging as I thought it would be. Hardest part of this game: getting past the glitches and bugs found in certain levels! I got stuck on an air raid mission for 2 hours because of some glitch that makes it impossible for you to kill an enemy. I had to keep resetting the game and re-attempt the mission until it finally acted normal and they guy goes down. Another mission I somehow moved through a fence that I wasn't supposed to and got stuck on the other side. And be careful when jumping on boxes as you might get stuck on top of them. Campaign was quick and over before they could shove a few more swears in there. The Multiplayer has plenty of potential but who likes being sworn at and talked garbage by a bunch of 12 yr olds who think they are hard but still cry when their mom tells them to turn off the game to do homework and you can hear it in the background.
Graphics: only 720P. I like playing HD games and prefer to have 1080P where available (MW3 has 1080P). Out side of the glitches it was good graphics. However, why does my whole screen have to be covered in grit when a bomb goes off? I know it is realism and stuff gets on your mask/face but it's a game, let me just see what I am doing and quit going for the gimecks.
What's great about it: Plenty of replay with Multiplayer
What's not so great: Glitches, the script is loaded with swears for no reason, 720P graphics
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Control it all!

I bought this remote to replace an older Harmony remote that was just starting to fail me. Software is easy to setup on your computer, especially if you have Windows 7. Comes with USB cable for easy connectivity to your computer. As long as you know the model numbers of your electronics, the setup is a breeze. I have a fairly extensive setup with a Denon A/V Receiver, Blu-Ray player, cable box, power filter, and a HDTV. I have everything wired to the A/V receiver and only 1 HDMI running to the tv. This remote makes it a breeze to switch between watching TV, watching a movie, and listening to music.
I also like the "HELP" feature the remote has. If you aren't pointing the remote at the setup when you press the "Watch TV" feature and it doesn't turn on the cable box, you can simply press HELP and it figures out which step it missed. This is great because you don't have to start over.
I recommend this remote especially if you are using 3 or more remotes currently to get through you setup. Makes life so much easier!
What's great about it: Easy setup, easy use, backlit screen
What's not so great: You need to know the model numbers of your equipment
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth finding a Wii
on September 30, 2007

If you are looking for a reason to buy a Wii (cause all the hype is real) then this is the game that makes you want to buy the system! Great gameplay, great graphics, and an excellent story. If you have played any other Zelda games, or even if you haven't, its a great game to buy. As a long time Zelda player, it gets tedious to keep going through the "training" that all the games include in the beginning. Other than that, a must play, must own game for the Wii. Worth the cost and hassle to find the system alone. Enjoy an unquie storyline and a inonvatie gameplay style with this Wii Classic.
What's great about it: Great Gameplay, Great Graphics, Great Story
What's not so great: Same old training

GREED IS GOOD!

I have loved this movie since I first saw it like 10 years ago. I have rented it time and time again but for some reason never bought it. Now I am glad I waited. The Special Edition comes with a 2nd disc with some good extras. Plus when I picked it up this week it came with a free business card case. I love the free give aways. If you have never seen this movie, it is Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas at their best. Great acting overall. Intriguing plot and story with a slight Dark overtone. I have seen it so many time but still love watching it. As Gordon Gekko would say "Greed is Good" and you should be greedy and pick this up for yourself. Must Own for your Collection!

Better than Kanye

I don't know what people are talking about saying that this album doesn't live up to the 50 hype. I have been listening since some of his mixtapes hit the streets and became avaible to those who were looking (about 6 months before Get Rich or Die Trying). This album is good and the only reason I can see for people saying that its not as good as his first is that there aren't as many as "radio" tracks on it. These tracks are hard and he even takes a shot at R. Kelly. This CD is all 50. If you look at the collabarations on this one, most of the guests are only there for the refrain/chorus. Akon, Justin, Robin Thicke, only there for the refrains. I love this album and recommend that you go out and pick this up right now. Forget Kanye's soft weak album and get this today!
