Very entertaining and well developed game

The Guitar Hero series is a very entertaining one. It's a game anyone can pick up and start playing but includes ample challenges for the heavier game looking to master something most never will. The song list on Guitar Hero 3 is much better than the previous GH games with more recognizable bands. As the series picked up steam they had a larger budget for this game.
GH3 was developed by NeverSoft whereas the previous games were done by Harmonix. The difference here is that NeverSoft looked more in depth at the songs to match the notes and chords and in doing so made this game considerably more challenging than its predecessors. There are many songs in this one that require a lot of practice and mastery of advanced techniques to complete on Expert level.
People criticize saying you should just learn a real guitar and this can't possibly make you feel like you're actually playing. But, it does draw you in and is a good option for someone who wants to feel like they're part of the song without spending the time/money on a real guitar.
What's great about it: A lot of good interactive fun
What's not so great: Addicting

Very Well Done

Blizzard held up to its name and did not disappoint in their first shot at an MMORPG.
Bought this game the 2nd month in stores when a Best Buy associate recommended it to me. I couldn't have been happier. The game quickly pulls you in with its realistic yet cartoonish character customization and easy to learn start up quests that keep you entertained. I immediately became hooked and had a lot of fun discovering how many people I knew were there to meet me in the game world to tackle monsters and quests cooperatively. It is possible to level your character solo but certain quests require partnership but are all optional. Very versatile to your playing style.
The basis of the game is simple but has more than enough content to satisfy any level of gamer. End-game dungeons which must be done in groups of 5 or more are very entertaining and a must to truly enjoy the game.
Very well done, be prepared to spend a lot of time playing.

madden 09 or ncaa football 09

which game is a better buy?
This one really comes down to a matter of opinion. I find Madden more entertaining because I don't keep up with college football very well in real life. Both games offer technical aspects to allow you to go in depth with your play style and both function pretty similarly to each other as well as their predecessors.

Personally I like Madden but again that's more because I know the players/teams much better. I really don't think either series lacks in much; more of a preference than anything. I'd recommend reading up on their different features - that's one thing that will set them apart a little bit.

which game

for x-mas im getting an xbox and gears of war two. I love shooter games, but i want to get something different. I wanted to know if Rise of the argonauts is any good or if i should wait for lord of the rings conquest. Or if none of those are worth it and i should buy Cod world at war
I haven't played Rise of the Argonauts personally but I keep up with the "hype" fairly well and haven't really heard any surrounding this game. I can tell you that COD WaW is a very good and entertaining shooter. One of its best features is that it has a great co-op campaign. It's a good bet.

This one was developed by Treyarch and not Infinity Ward like the last CoD. Treyarch did a nice job of spicing it up so it gives it a unique feel when compared to all the other WW2 games.

Does the headset that comes with with Xbox 360 pro work with Xbox Live?

If you're referring to the headset with the mic that plugs into the controller then yes it is designed for use with Xbox Live.
